She took Iain's ice cream out of the freezer did she not?!

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:12

Iain's late.

OP posts:
amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:13

Oooooooh!

OP posts:
amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:14

I still think she looks guilty.

squoosh · 28/08/2014 23:15

I'd happily stick Iain Duncan Smith in the freezer.

Overnight. Possibly for two nights.

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:15

Squoosh, are you my mum?

OP posts:
ScrambledSmegs · 28/08/2014 23:16

Ooh, he looks quite tidy. Coiffed, even.

ithoughtofitfirst · 28/08/2014 23:17

What a fucking shambles

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:17

Presenter woman is annoying.

OP posts:
ScrambledSmegs · 28/08/2014 23:17

Kirsty's going with the 'Diana sabotaged Iain' line.

Probably not helpful.

Elderflowergranita · 28/08/2014 23:17

Well guess what Another? I had to bloody miss GBBO last night because stupid Arsenal were playing and DS2 had to watch the match (only one TV).

I can't watch it on the iplayer because I live in Ireland, and for some stupid poxy reason it doesn't work here.

Am desperately trying to restrain myself til rerun on Sunday (meaning I miss Extra Slice on Fri, unless that's rerun too).

So at one fell swoop, your thread title told me that the 'unacceptable' Mary Berry trailer referred to a melting baked alaska baked by Iain, which had been kiboshed by Diane!

Now I know in my heart (but not in my mind, la la la, fingers in ears, not listening) that Iain must have been sent home, and that Diana was the inadvertent cause.

So quell your Angry lady! Grin

JavaSparrow · 28/08/2014 23:17

So how long was it out the freezer!? C'mon Iain, that's what we need to know.....

ScrambledSmegs · 28/08/2014 23:18

Dull. I miss Paxman.

ithoughtofitfirst · 28/08/2014 23:18

So he can bake

Hmmmm

ladydepp · 28/08/2014 23:18

Presenter woman!!! That's Kirsty Wark, she's fabulous !!

squoosh · 28/08/2014 23:19

I'm watching in Scotland so still looking at a panel of ugly UKIPers.

JavaSparrow · 28/08/2014 23:19

Woah!

"Will you go back?"
"You'll have to watch next week."
So Diane leaves due to illness and he goes back in....?

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:20

That was it?! Pah. How can he go back in if it's all pre-recorded??

OP posts:
Egghead68 · 28/08/2014 23:20

Unbelivable that this was on Newsnight!

Unexpected · 28/08/2014 23:21

Did anyone else think Kirsty Wark was horrible to Iain? "Congratulations on causing such a stir" - is she suggesting he deliberately caused the situation? I'm sure he'd much rather have progressed in the competition. And she seemed to be rushing him and taking over him.

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:22

Elderflower, surely the title didn't give much away?! Said nowt about Iain (I'm not saying if he was the one to get the boot, I'll leave that as a surprise. You're welcome)!!

OP posts:
DoctorLawn · 28/08/2014 23:22

Hated the way she kept interrupting what Iain was saying to ask him a question, the answer of which he was half way through saying...

Iain... so this is a courgette...
Kirsty... what kind of cake is this?
Iain... this is a courgette and lemon cake...

Whole piece felt very jarring after the previous items as it is, after all, fluff.

ViviPru · 28/08/2014 23:22

Oooooo so he goes back??!! I can't WAIT to see what Monkseal's got to say about all this....

amotherfuckingquiche · 28/08/2014 23:23

squoosh, you seen it yet?

OP posts:
Unexpected · 28/08/2014 23:24

Elderflower, unless you were going to live in a cave for the next few days I don't think there is any way you could have made it to Sunday without realising what had happened on the programme last night. So far, I have been exposed to it on FB, here, Twitter, BBC News channel which is running on mute all day at work, the front page of tomorrow's Sun, probably several other newspapers and two long conversations at work about it. I don't honestly think having a go at the OP is necessary.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 28/08/2014 23:25

Monkseal's blog for this week.
