OP posts:
ICanSeeTheSun · 26/08/2014 23:48

My last meal would be ham, egg and chips

WorraLiberty · 26/08/2014 23:50

Like I'd be in the mood for eating if I knew I was going to die!! Shock

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 26/08/2014 23:50

Lobster thermador with fat chips.

Rare steak and fat chips with melted Stilton on the steak.

Nancy66 · 26/08/2014 23:50

rare fillet of steak, chunky chips and creamed spinach

ICanSeeTheSun · 26/08/2014 23:52

Worral what if you didn't know.

wonkyandproudish · 27/08/2014 00:00

Mum's pot roast, dad's mashed potatoes, my apple turnovers, and some cheese. With a nice cold glass of lager and/or timmermans peche, then Irish coffee & shortbread & a roll up.

squoosh · 27/08/2014 00:05

Are you planning on murdering your date OP?

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/08/2014 00:09

Lobster and butter.

awsomer · 27/08/2014 00:12

Do they still do last meals?

Mine would probably be a large order of Valium so I wouldn't have to worry about my impending doom.
(Or Lasagna)

WorraLiberty · 27/08/2014 00:20

Worral what if you didn't know

I'd probably have egg n' chips and then regret not having had a Sunday roast as soon as I found out Sad

nocoolnamesleft · 27/08/2014 00:31

Well...let's do this with style. So something posh and decadent...can I have someone else pay for it? Probably a main of beef, followed by something chocolatey, served in the speciality restaurant on the QM2, on the penultimate night of a world cruise (if I'm dying, let's skip packing) in the company of my closest friends and family, whilst a string quartet plays in the background.

Given I'd probably have to save until I'm 90 to achieve it, popping my clogs at that point due to several months of overindulgence might not seem too bad!

happystory · 27/08/2014 00:34

Yorkshire fish andchips, lashings of salt and vinegar and a mahoosive glass of cold white wine

clary · 27/08/2014 00:37

This has really made me think. I know what everyone else in my house likes but rarely cook what I love!

Maybe something like: pan-fried free range chicken breast with a sauce made of melted butter, lemon juice and tarragon; served with fine basmati rice and seasonal veg like sprouting broc, slender leeks and asparagus tips.

Then pudding would be really deliciously ripe English strawberries served with a pot of chocolate mousse (Delia's recipe is always good).

Nothing too heavy and bloaty tho - even if it was my last meal I don't like feeling too full.

SignYourName · 27/08/2014 00:42

Starter: cheese souffle or scallops with chorizo

Main: fillet steak cooked medium, perfect golden brown & fluffy chips, grilled mushroom, peppercorn sauce

Pud: my mum's chocolate Baileys cheesecake

Washed down with cool sparkling Normandy cider.

Skinheadmermaid · 27/08/2014 00:45

An enormous amount of take away pizza and then some tiramasu.
At least i wouldn't have to feel guilty about it!

TeamScotland · 27/08/2014 01:12

Medium rare T-bone steak, peppercorn sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, oven baked potato with butter and a small amount of cheese.

In reality it will probably be some gruesome build up shake. Everyone I know who has been on their way out has had to have these.

rumtumtugger · 27/08/2014 01:30

Sashimi platter to include sea urchin, yellowtail, fatty tuna, wild salmon with shiso leaf, super-fresh mackerel

Globe artichoke dipped in melted butter and lemon juice

Beef Wellington with foie gras - medium rare
Sweet potato fries
In season British purple sprouting broccoli and round beans, cooked al dente

Some kind of rich liquid chocolate shot as I don't have much room left in my tummy

Paired wines

A meal to die for! Grin

CrohnicallyDepressed · 27/08/2014 01:47

My last meal would be corn on the cob- I love the stuff but it doesn't love me, and if I do eat it I regret it the next day!

bloodyteenagers · 27/08/2014 01:55

Eggs. Boiled. Scrambled. Poached. Omelette. Many different types of cooked eggs. All laid out on a table. Fuck it I would also wash it all down with eggs. Ooh and eggy bread.

Have a massive egg allergy. But for my last meal, would be soo worth the effects.

Spermysextowel · 27/08/2014 02:09

How many courses are we allowed? I'd have foie gras, then pig's trotter, then my mum's meatballs, then lots of cheese; stinky or blue. If dessert is compulsory I'll maybe round it all off with a pannacotta.

AggressiveBunting · 27/08/2014 02:12

Massive stack of nachos with a bottle of Veuve on the side.

FlossyMoo · 27/08/2014 02:50

Battered mushrooms with a garlic dip.

Loin of pork with an apple cider sauce/jus, whole grain mustard mash, buttered savoy cabbage, honeyed carrots.

Warm chocolate brownie with vanilla bean clotted cream ice cream.

Tikimon · 27/08/2014 03:26

Sushi. And probably a nice lobster dinner since I'm allergic to it, if I'm going to die anyway. Grin

steff13 · 27/08/2014 03:36

Deep fried mushrooms with cocktail sauce; a filet cooked medium; a cheeseburger cooked rare with lettuce, onion, tomato, blue cheese, and steak sauce; deluxe pizza from Cassano's; pumpkin pecan cheesecake and Ghirardelli chocolate cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory; and a Coke.

TerribleMother · 27/08/2014 03:56

Starter of thinly sliced duck breast, cooked rare, drizzled with a honey orange jus.

Main course - fillet steak, cooked medium rare, rack of pork ribs with sticky BBQ Jack Daniels sauce, crunchy beer battered fries and crispy green salad with sautéed cherry tomatoes and balsamic dressing.

Desert of self saucing caramel pudding with dark chocolate and coffee bites.

Cheese platter (hard cheeses only)

All washed down with a bottle or two of an ice cold semillon Sauvignon Blanc.
