To think Matt Smith was a terrible a Doctor?

I felt like I'd woken up in a parallel universe this morning and saw all the comments from people bemoaning how much they missed him last night. Seriously, I never liked him as the doctor. I adored David Tennant and watched every single one of his episodes, but I although I gave Smith a chance I just didn't connect or gel with him. I didn't get it and don't know why he was ever cast in the past. Also don't get me started on Amy Pond, I bloody loathed her with a passion!

I drifted away from the series completely during the Smith era, but now Capaldi has taken over I'm coming back. He's already a vast improvement on Smith, I could tell you that after one episode.

Where the fuck has all this Smith love come from?!

The only shagable ones were Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Peter Davison and of course the divine and delicious Mr Capaldi!

I wholeheartedly agree. Just couldn't warm to Matt Smith. I tried to give him a chance, but it was all about David for me. I'm loving PC though.

I felt that Matt Smith's story lines weren't great though. Really convoluted and meandering. I get the feeling this series might be the same...

It took me until the very last season to figure out why Matt Smith always looked a bit weird to me. No eyebrows. As for story lines, I can't remember everything. There should be a downloadable cheat sheet at the end of every episode to point out bits that you probably missed the relevancy of because you're memory is shot to shit.
