AIBU to hang lacy underwear on the washing line of our overlooked garden?

Lighthearted

A friend of mine was shocked I hang my lacy undies/bras on the line to dry in our garden because the neighbours might see..

I think it is perfectly normal and reasonable to hang underwear on the line and that no-one looks/cares what washing people hang out?

AIBU?

I had some dirty ones stolen from a sports changing room once. Blush

Crying with laughter at some of the responses!

It's better than my neighbour hanging out her visibly stained underwear while we're eating lunch.

Actually can't breathe and just spat tea everywhere!

There was a spate of knicker theft round at my aunt's street many years ago. The culprit was finally found a his bounty recovered.

My armpit huggers never see beyond the tumble dryer.

Love these Smile

Mine are massive and I'm a prude - I hang them indoors on an electric heated drying rack although the cat does like to drag them down and rag them around the house when he's bored Hmm

I once had a neighbour who would hang over the fence and comment on everything I hung out.

I always wanted to go out there nonchalantly and hang out a whip, a gimp mask, a pvc cod piece and the like.

I didn't because she was old, lonely and meant no harm.

but it would have been funny.

My elderly neighbour is a bloody old baggage. When we first moved in I thought "Ah...a lovely old lady" now I think I'd rather a family with 8 screaming kids and a drunken husband. Less trouble.

These threads make me Envy I'd love an outside line to hang my pants on :)
