Sorry, it's another FB related post...

Someone on my friends list, who is generally quite attention seeking anyway, has been alluding for the past few weeks to the fact that she is going on holiday. She has done statuses about packing being done, and posted photographs of passports.

They are now clearly at their holiday destination, as she wrote a status today about being in the swimming pool. I have seen several questions on her recent photos and statuses asking where she is going and she has ignored those questions and replied to others. There seem to be a few people that know where she has gone as they act all in-the-know when replying to her, and make it clear that they know.

Today in reply to her swimming pool status, someone asked where she was on holiday and she replied that she would rather not say and she'd let on when she got home. As if she is some kind of celebrity that the paparazzi will follow!

AIBU to think that it is weird, attention seeking behaviour? She is a woman in her 40s btw, not a teen!

I'm with Fusby. she is still at home, or at her mum's!

I thought it meant that she might be a mexican house thief?

A friend of mines boyfriend took her away for the weekend, she posted for weeks before how she was so excited, how he'd told her to pack her passport and swimming costume, went on and on and on about it.

He took her to a british city for the weekend. She was livid.

A woman on my facebook did exactly this, except she didn't ever reveal the destination.

It's worked though, because I irrationally really want to know where she has gone.

Reply: Hi xxx, I noticed two police cars and a firebrigade with flashing lights outside yours last night on my way home, hope it wasn't anything too serious! PS. Oh, I have just seen you are away on your holidays, hope you are having a great time away!

Maybe she's done a Miranda and is actually at the local Travelodge.......

If was having a decent holiday, the last thing she'd be doing is to go on the internet. Sounds bored off her tits to me.

The funny thing is, I bet she thought the air of mystery would have people going 'ooh I wonder where she is, must be somewhere glamorous!' when instead people are saying 'oh I wonder where she is, must be somewhere naff!'

A family member on my FB tagged themselves at the hospital every day for about two weeks, when someone eventually asked what was wrong they went ballistic about how nosy this person was being and can’t anyone have any privacy anymore
