I have a newish partner of seven months. We are going on a camping holiday next week us DC and my DM. The noise I'm dreading is the noise I make. He is pretty awesome in sack and I've been really loud lately. Short of not DTD next week what else can I do?

What caravan?
What hedge?

Ask nextdoor for a loan of said mysterious caravan and shag in that

ilovesooty · 16/08/2014 18:26

Presumably it's some kind of convoluted evidence that she's a regular poster.

Sallyingforth · 16/08/2014 18:26

If you scream like that, your DC will be used to hearing you performing at home. So it's only your DM who would be surprised. Can't you persuade her to wear earplugs?

ThatBloodyWoman · 16/08/2014 18:26

I have just realised that you're going with your mum.

For pity sake, how could you even entertain sex in a tent with your mum there?

Shock
picnicbasketcase · 16/08/2014 18:27

With a sign saying 'if the caravan's rockin', don't come a-knockin.' Or just 'go away, I'm trying to break a glass purely with the power of my shag screaming.'

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 16/08/2014 21:27

shudder at use of 'other screamers'.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 16/08/2014 23:08

I made a man scream loud enough to bring people out their tents once when I went camping. But it's because I took the dog with me to the toilet ports cabins at 3am and the security guard freaked out at the ghostly glowing eyes hovering above him when he shone his torch in our direction.

I can therefore assure you that screaming loudly does not, happy campers make.

Take some bromide for your tea and a good book.

(As an aside why did you think mumsnet was a good place to get tips on how to successfully have sexual intercourse right next to your own mother? Confused)

Hotpink Grin

We went camping with a group of friends a couple of years ago. Two of them hooked up after a few to many drinks. It was awful listening to them having sex in the next tent while we pretended to be asleep with our heads under the pillow. They were mortified the next morning when they realised how noisy they had been. And I think she is still traumatised by the memory of that weekend.
Don't have sex in a tent especially not in the same tent as family. Sound carries and no one wants to hear their daughter having that kind of fun.

wobblyweebles · 17/08/2014 04:16

Phenargan?

MidniteScribbler · 17/08/2014 05:07

I screamed when camping once. There was a h

MidniteScribbler · 17/08/2014 05:08

Oops.

I screamed once on a camping trip. A long skinny thing in my sleeping bag. A red bellied black snake.

I've never camped again.

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 17/08/2014 06:30

Who the fuck could have sex in a tent with their mum?! I'll know I'd be mortified. Be cringey as hell for your DM too.

Op, I hope you dc aren't teenagers...

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 17/08/2014 06:31

*With their mum there, not with their mumBlush

Dying. This cannot be real.
Couples like you sound are so very annoying. No-one cares. Seriously.

StripyBanana · 17/08/2014 06:59

MIdnite - please tell me that wasn't the UK, please tell me that wasn't the UK.......

shivers and hides in the corner

aderynlas · 17/08/2014 09:23

Got into my sleepingbag very late one night. Just getting comfy, stretched my toes, only to hit something hard and prickly. The whole campsite was probably woken by me screaming "what the effing hell is that and get it out ". Calmed down convinced myself it was a little hedgehog. Woke up next morning to an old rubber ball stuck full of those kerplunk sticks sat outside my tent. Cheeks still burn when i think about it.

Sallyingforth · 17/08/2014 10:59

Just get yourselves separate sleeping bags. End of problem!
