My DP and DS (4) and DD (18 months) refuse to eat anything. Every single dinner time it's 'I don't like this' It's too hot' 'It's too brown' 'It's spicy horse it's gross'. Tonight my DP said 'I'm not eating that it tastes like fairy liquid!'.

Well...

ALL OF YOU CAN FUCK OFF THEN!!!!

It's so fucking rude and ungrateful. Why do I fucking bother slaving away making them home cooked nice food.

Fuck them. Would it be unreasonable to give all 3 of them spaghetti hoops on toast for the foreseeable future?

I told DP this and he said that would suit him fine..

Cunt lips!!!!

Yes you should cook them spaghetti hoops on toast. If you cook for them at all, that is. I wouldn't - unless you are the only one home when the LOs eat in which case I suppose you had better feed them!

DP can get his own dinner. If he doesn't like it, tough.

He is being so rude! They are copying him.

icanmakeyouicecream · 12/08/2014 17:52

I'm glad you all agree with me that I am right and he is a prick.

My DP's reluctance to eat anything already does rub off on the kids. 4yr old won't eat potato skins, carrots, peas, broccoli and that is just the start. Anything green because Daddy doesn't like it. It's a nightmare. He's going away on business soon. Thank god. He's getting right on my tits.

YABU for serving leeks, that might explain the fairy liquid

Not unreasonable at all! Serve anything and everything, otherwise how will children develop new tastes? Serve it - you are not under strict instruction to eat it. Try it - you might like it

Phineyj · 12/08/2014 17:53

I do think kale tastes soapy, but (unless he does half the cooking and you are rude about his), he is very rude and setting a bad example).

icanmakeyouicecream · 12/08/2014 17:54

He can go fuck a goat for all I care!

Your language is disgusting (and I'm not normally bothered by a bit of swearing).

Canwepretend · 12/08/2014 17:54

Sorry I have changed my mind.

Please tell your DP to make his own sandwich.

SilentBob · 12/08/2014 17:54

I Seriously would not be cooking for 'D' P.

I would cook nice food for me and children, sit and eat with them, enthusing over how lovely it was etc. and inform said 'D' P that he can make is own and eat it alone.

Cunt lips indeed!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/08/2014 17:55

Cook for you and your DC's and eat separately from him so they can't copy what he does

YouTheCat · 12/08/2014 17:55

OP, I also think your language is disgusting... but disgustingly imaginative. Grin

icanmakeyouicecream · 12/08/2014 17:56

My language is bad on this occasion and I am being unreasonable for that but I am so cross.

I have been watching Life on Mars.
"I've 'ad 'oops!! Grin

GalaxyInMyPants · 12/08/2014 17:57

Yep. Yanbu.

My dh moaned about my cooking too many times. I honestly haven't cooked him dinner in three years. Its very liberating. I cook for me and dd and we eat. He sorts himself out. Bliss.

WeirdCatLady · 12/08/2014 18:00

Jeez Cate, way to kick a girl when she's down.
If you don't like a bit of frothy, so angry I could spit, foul language, I suggest you try nethuns.

OP, I would tell 'D'P that you are not cooking for him anymore and are planning to eat separately with your kids until he learns basic manners ffs

icanmakeyouicecream · 12/08/2014 18:00

Galaxy it may just go that way for us. I am so sick of his food issues affecting everyone.

CateBlanket - Whilst I sympathise that you're not a fan of swearing (I'm not either, don't do a lot of it myself, either on here or on any other forum) I wonder why you have chosen this thread, for someone asking for advice, to air your views. OP is quite clearly in need of support. This is a forum where swearing is allowed and it is a good place to vent, when, perhaps, you have nowhere else.

If you don't like it, then why did you read the thread in the first place. If you don't like it, then don't read any further. You haven't given any useful advice, so ...............

CateBlanket · 12/08/2014 18:05

I suggest you try nethuns

Jeez, WeirdCatLady, it's been a long time since anyone's said that on here - bet you thought you were being blisteringly witty and original!

erin99 · 12/08/2014 18:06

Tell him you'll cook for him again when he can behave like a reasonably polite 8 year old - just leave what he doesn't want without commenting on it. What an awful example to set for your DC and how disrespectful to you.

CateBlanket · 12/08/2014 18:07

Evans - I opened the thread to tell the OP that she should feel free to feed her kids spaghetti hoops every night. It's not done my DD any harm ...

erin99 · 12/08/2014 18:08

However if you are going to make a point, don't do it with hoops. Mine would eat hoops every day very happily!

icanmakeyouicecream · 12/08/2014 18:10

You make a good point erin, hoops are quite yummy.

What's gland and boring that they cannot turn down? Toast?

I'm sorry - but I can't find that post

petalsandstars · 12/08/2014 18:12

Eat it or go without in my house. DH is learning not to make comments or he goes hungry too.

Milmingebag · 12/08/2014 18:12

How about boring them to tears with a menu that repeats egg on toast, beans on toast, welsh rarebit, tuna sandwich, pilchards on toast and soup on a six day cycle for a month.

It would provide nutrients but be soo bland they would be begging for mercy. Minimal effort for you for the ungrateful squad.
