Another one here with a daughter who loved her train set. She played with it a lot when she was younger and so did her friends when they came to play.

She's outgrown it now and has given all the bits away to her little cousins. I'm sad about it as we had a lot of fun laying it all out and choo chooing our way around the floor.

Shock
DikTrom · 09/08/2014 21:38

Of course. She may like the Thomas the Tank engine trainsets and dvd/books/cds as well. They are brilliant, nice stories and hours fun building railways.

Kasterborous · 09/08/2014 21:42

Buy it. Our two year old DD loves trains and cars and has got Fireman Sam and Thomas the tank engine t-shirts along side all her Peppa Pig ones.

BramwellBrown · 09/08/2014 21:46

DD has a large box of brio, it is her most prized possession, I bought the first basic set for her first birthday so I could play with it

We also have a big scalextric set and occassionally turn her whole bedroom into a city by building the railway bridges over the cars and making office blocks out of lego.

MamaMary · 09/08/2014 21:46

My DD has that one. She LOVES it. Plays with it for hours.

She likes Thomas the Tank Engine too.

Just buy it.

Is this post for real?

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 09/08/2014 22:46

Questions like this make me feel really, really depressed.

NeedsAsockamnesty · 09/08/2014 22:55

Wooden train sets are a brilliant gift because over the years you can build on the collection.

Selks · 09/08/2014 23:45

I know, me too UsedToBe. Sad

(Not meaning to get at OP in any way)

LittleBearPad · 09/08/2014 23:53

I always wanted a brio train set. When we have more space I'm getting one for DD me to play with.

GothMummy · 10/08/2014 00:00

We bought wooden track for our DS and he completely ignored it. DD loves it though. But we found the tesco version better than Ikea.

Im sad to think people still have such outdated views :(

wheresthelight · 10/08/2014 00:19

My dd loves trains!!! She is addicted to chuggington

KnittedJimmyChoos · 10/08/2014 00:28

gosh thats so sad people think girls cant like trains and so odd....

mine loved trains. buy them

RJnomore · 10/08/2014 00:31

Both my girls loved train sets.

I'm 37 and loved mines when I was little.

I can confirm they are not penis operated (that's hilarious )

NorksEnormous · 10/08/2014 00:37

My 2yo dd loves trains and today picked a toy dinosaur. When changing her nappy before bed I didn't notice that she'd grown a penis yet

OxfordBags · 10/08/2014 00:50

My DS has a lovely train set. Or so I'm told... whenever I go into the room it's allegedly kept in, I go blind and it's like some sort of forcefield repels me out of the room. I can't get over the horror until I've played with some ribbons and kittens Hmm

AdoraBell · 10/08/2014 00:57

She's a child. The train set is a toy. The other people are being ridiculous.

YA so NBU
