I once asked a neighbour to remove a massive frog my cat had deposited in my kitchen. The neighbour looked a bit Hmm but did come and liberate the frog. I am still embarrassed that I couldn't sort it out alone. But it might have jumped at me!!

I think there is definitely a difference between seeing a creature in its normal environment and encountering it in a domestic setting where you don't expect it that make it harder to deal with.

I am not afraid of lizards. Nor is DD. When we are out walking somewhere warm if we see one sunning itself on a rock we like to stop and look and try to get close. But on holiday recently she found one in her bedroom and that was very difficult to deal with.

I ended up chasing it around the bedroom with a kitchen utensil and we were both screaming every time it scurried to a different place. DH though we had taken leave of our senses!

You're all wimps. DP and I (in truth, I) picked up many a cat-trophy. Just sayin'...

Yay the crab is ok!!! :)

I must be strange because I've picked up many cat deposit or rescued put outside many a creature.

Doesn't bother me

I just had to watch that vid again. The crab looks so happy and comfy afterwards! Very uplifting of a morning.

We had a massive crab in our garden. I have no clue where it came from because we live nowhere near the coast, nor near any water. This thing was huge, our lab even bowed down to the thing.

But OP I am relieved to hear that your crab issue is now resolved. I can just imagine you going to your neighbour asking him to help you with your crab problem.......... Grin it would help if he was a looker too Wink
