Sharing toothbrushes is really not recommended for dental hygiene, but being squeamish about not sticking clothes together in the washing machine is going way too far.

If their relationship is healthy they'll be sharing saliva and bodily fluids anyway.

I'd share DP's toothbrush if I had left mine at home and that's all I had to clean my teeth with. Let's face it, by the time people have shared their lives, their 'flora and fauna' have comingled enough times that it's no big deal.

But not to save 2, that's a bit ridiculous.

I am not a germophobe but i am weird about sharing.

I wouldn't share a toothbrush with Ds as i smoke.

I wouldn't share one with dh as he sometimes has stinky breath.

Would share one with my best friend though. Only one of them.

YABU. We don't as a rule but do if we are are away and forgot one etc.

If you are exchanging bodily fluids with someone, I don't see a problem with borrowing his/her toothbrush.

We use an electric and in theory have separate heads for it. But we both just use whichever one comes to hand, and only bother taking one if we go away. Flossing does the grungy sort of cleaning before brushing anyway.

Ewh just no! The electric bit of mine is broken just now and I have to use my head with DH's electric bit. That's annoying me enough. Just no!

Some couples have sex without a condom. Surely that is much worse than sharing a toothbrush

It's not my first choice to share a toothbrush but if I gave forgotten mine then I would borrow my DH's. I'd rinse it carefully. It doesn't bother me.
