Pop to the splasheries my lambs and after you've brushed your hair till it shines we'll have a quick practice of 'I sing of Margaret so fair'.

Once we've finished casting the movie, that is....

I think I'll learn the bagpipes. They love to have ideas from different nationalities here, so I'm sure they'll appreciate that. Hope they don't put me down for early morning practicing though and so does everyone else

RobinHumphries · 05/07/2014 18:44

Anyone got a vuvuzela?

TooSpotty · 05/07/2014 19:47

I don't think so. None of us ever menstruates.

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 20:09

I think Miss Annersley might have cheered up. She seems to have booked herself a lovely summer holiday. I heard her saying to Rosalie Dene "I just cannot wait for this term to end. I have never looked forward to the Summer break so much". Smile

Tinuviel · 05/07/2014 20:12

Dewee, that will be lovely. Perhaps we can practise together. Does anyone know a ripping tune for the saxophone and bagpipes. That's bound to cheer everybody up!

Daisymasie · 05/07/2014 20:15

I think Miss Annersley might be going to a Caribbean Islan. I heard her say on the phone 'St Trinian's will be a total picnic'.
I really hope she has a super time Smile.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 20:21

Oh, she's going for a picnic in the Caribbean, how lovely. I wonder what essential foodstuff she will forget to take? Will we all go? We could set up a camp, couldn't we, and fall in holes and stuff.

Today, I read Mary-Lou as Macbeth and something not worth linking too, very long, really quite boring, but I persevered with it because it had a reunion of sorts for Bill and Charlie.

I think we could probably do 'Ye Banks and Braes' for the sax + bagpipes + vuvuzela accompaniment.

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 20:29

What about my recorder

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 20:31

Oh and YY to going to Trin... whatever for a picnic with Miss Annersley. Won't se be surprised when we all show up? Shall I bring the elderflower cordial? DeWee can you make some of your scrummy cakes?

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 20:45

Oh sorry Vintage my lamb, I wasn't clear - the sax etc should be the accompaniment to your smashing melodic recorder-playing.

Miss Annersley will be so thrilled to see us all! We must take Bill, she'll be missing her.

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 20:56

Oh what a good idea. She would love to see Bill again! Maybe we should ask Madame and Dr Jem as well to remind them of a wonderful birthday.

By the say if any posters in Dublin would like a 1963 hardback unabridged edition of Lavender laughs..., please let me know. I ordered two copies from Abe Books by mistake and it isn't really worth returning it as the postage both ways is so expensive so I won't recoup half my costs and will spend a fortune sending it back.

DeWee · 05/07/2014 21:00

Vintage I shall get baking as soon as Matey's got some more special milk in, she says she needs to order some more.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:09

It would be rude to go all the way to St Trin...whatever with Madame and not take Oncle Reize too, wouldn't it? Especially since he is such a keen swimmer.

Tinuviel · 05/07/2014 21:10

Sorry, Vintage, forget to get your recorder sorted. Please feel free to toot away! I found some more brandy in Matey's cupboard lying around. Anyone fancy a singsong in the summer house?

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:11

But please, please, nobody tell Joey. She needs to, erm, stay and look after Freudesheim. I think she might even be "busy".

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:13

Oh hurrah, Tinuviel! What shall we sing this time?

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 21:14

Tophole DeWee

I agree, Oncle Reize must be invited. And also his wife. That should make for a very festive atmosphere. Miss Annersley will be pleased.

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 21:17

Ooh yes. Would love some brandy refreshments in the summerhouse. See you all in ten minutes.

And of course, Joey is needed in Freudesheim. All those babies to bathe and rhubarb jam to make.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:20

I think we ought to bring Charlie too. She's so good at finding mislaid pieces of teaset.

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 21:24

Jolly good idea. I wonder would she and Bill mind doubling up. Hotel rooms are frightfully expensive in the Caribbean. I mean, Madame and Dr Jem will share and we can put Oncle Reize and his wife next door. So that would be three double rooms for the adults.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:42

Miss Annersley will be so pleased to see just how much initiative we've taken. I can't wait!

Vintagejazz · 05/07/2014 21:56

Yes, whatever has been bothering her is bound to seem better when she knows we will be recreating the atmosphere of yesterday for her to enjoy all over again Smile

RobinHumphries · 05/07/2014 21:57

Ooooo new nectar from Karen, she can use all that tropical fruit so can add pina colada, blue parrot , coconut margarita etc to her menu!

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 05/07/2014 21:57

Three cheers for the Chalet school!

Daisymasie · 05/07/2014 22:14

Joey has just called over and simply barged into Miss Annersley's study. Miss Annersley said that German word that Mary Lou used last week and Joey said something about ' traitors and drunks'. D'you think they were discussing the theme for the Sale?
