Pop to the splasheries my lambs and after you've brushed your hair till it shines we'll have a quick practice of 'I sing of Margaret so fair'.

Once we've finished casting the movie, that is....

Oh dear, Vintage. However, if they go sniffing round enough cubeys they might gather together enough shoes and underthings that we can play 'find your own shoes and your colleagues' knickers' later.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 14:31

I think Frau Mieders wants your saffron cakes for herself fair my lamb - I just saw her grabbing them all out of the oven very excitedly.

DeWee · 04/07/2014 14:32

Thank you *Elizaveta"

I did make a dolls house when I was little Nell but it was out of a cardboard box. And I don't have any package boxes to use.

Summer and Why I know I haven't left anything out, because very greedily I tasted one. So I know they're perfectly alriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 14:35

Oh dear, DeWee, you sound like you need a dose of something from Matey. Unfortunately Matey seems a little unwell herself - she's staggering around singing Roll Out The Barrel and swearing at the nice policemen - so I've brought Mary Lou instead. She's always so helpful.

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 14:39

Miss Annersley wants us all in the assembly hall at once. She doesn't look like she's going to congratulate us. I wonder is she annoyed we didn't thank Joey for her rhubarb jam?

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 14:46

Gosh she didn't even mention the rhubarb jam. She seemed more annoyed about us drinking too much cordial. And I wonder why she kept giving Bill and Con such dirty looks?
And she was most unfair to you ?DeWee. It's not your fault if you accidentally mistook Matey's bottles of milk for ordinary cooking milk.

JoeyMaynardsghost · 04/07/2014 15:06

Why does Madame's Birthday always end in arrests and ASBOs? It was so much fun in the summerhouse, even when the haystack [which is in the meadow right behind but has never been mentioned before but for the sake of this new plot twist] accidentally caught fire. Who'd have thunk that a lit cigarette quickly lobbed over the fence when Miss Annersley walked by would have caused such a conflagration?

Any more cordial left? Or should I stick to the cake? Grin

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 15:10

I saw two policewomen drinking the rest of the cordial Joey. They were also stuffing themselves with DeWee's cakes. Apparently they have to test the evidence.
But they didn't leave any evidence. They ate and drank it all Confused

Summerbreezing · 04/07/2014 15:12

Those policewomen looked awfully like Rosalie Dene and Miss Edwards. But of course it couldn't be them. Why would they be dressed up as policewomen and confiscating alcohol cordial and DeWee's cakes, and then eating and drinking them?

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 15:25

Oh, doesn't Madame look so girlishly pretty today? Shall we start singing again yet?

JoeyMaynardsghost · 04/07/2014 15:28

I thought those policewomen looked familiar!

I'm going to start singing again soon. Just as soon as I've finished this cake...

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 15:30

Well now that all of the evidence has been eaten disposed of and the policemen and their dogs have gone, I think we should be allowed go back to the picnic.
Miss Annersley, however, has ordered the staff to lock all the doors and windows Sad. And apparently we're having bread and milk for supper tonight Sad.

JoeyMaynardsghost · 04/07/2014 15:34

Never mind, we can have a feast after Lights Out. I have a tin of sardines! We could sneak out and have it in that field of pigs!

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 15:35

Ooh yes. And I have some cake that will do instead of bread with the sardines.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 04/07/2014 15:40

Bread and milk, you say? Would that be Matey's special milk?

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 15:40

And I have some smoky bacon! And some bloody rhubarb jam. Joey thrust it enthusiastically into my hand and started talking about how I must come round for tea and to help bathe her babies. I nodded and smiled, whilst quietly backing away.

Summerbreezing · 04/07/2014 15:46

She looked ghastly in that lime green pinafore didn't she?

I heard Miss Annersley on the phone just now. I don't know who she was talking to but she kept saying 'never again'. I presume she meant we will never again have such a jolly brilliant day. Smile

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 15:48

TooExtra I think DeWee used all of Matey's special milk in her cakes.

By the way, why is Rosalie Dene sprawled on the stairs snoring her head off?

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 15:49

But of course we shall! Next year!

Yes, her lime green Sarafan was rather... painful on the eyes. I still feel a bit bleary now. I need more cordial.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 04/07/2014 15:50

She's always working so hard, Rosalie, the silly lamb. Maybe she needs to spend the weekend in the San.

Vintagejazz · 04/07/2014 15:57

Oh, I feel so flat now that our celebration is finished. After all those exciting weeks of preparation it was all over so quickly. I just can't wait for next July. I bet Madame can't wait either.

JoeyMaynardsghost · 04/07/2014 15:59

We need to start planning next year's festivities... but first, there's the Sale and the Christmas Play. Now who wants to play Herod?

EElisavetaofBelsornia · 04/07/2014 16:27

Despite my royal nom de guerre I suspect I am the sort of Chaletian who would always be qualified by the term 'big' Angry and therefore be destined to play Joseph.

RobinHumphries · 04/07/2014 17:31

I make the perfect angel.

DeWee · 04/07/2014 17:55

I think after those cakes I made and the way Miss A glared at me I'd be lucky to be allowed to be in the chorus.

Never mind. I didn't use all of Matey's special milk in the cakes, I kept a barrel back. Do you think I could save some and slip it into Joey's milky coffee next time I'm invited to her house?
