I mean, she is just bloody gorgeous, isn't she? Stunning.

On the subject of beauty, the Kardashian woman with the enormous rear, is that real that ass?

HBC would never have a fake butt, you can rest assured on that front.

Melonbreath · 20/06/2014 13:16

HTC is up there with Rita Hayworth

Talisawasnotsupposedtobethere · 20/06/2014 13:23

I have just been google imaging HBC.

She's alright.

She looks like she could be Amanda Holden's older dark haired sister.

kennyp · 20/06/2014 13:25

i don't think she's beautiful but she's original and fantastic (even though i've never seen her in annnnything ever). she seems to have a big pair of balls and that's what i like about her.

CateBlanket · 20/06/2014 13:47

Kristin Scott Thomas hasn't yet succumbed to Botox, fillers or surgery. She looks her age (54) and is stunning,

LastMinuteLil · 20/06/2014 14:01

On the subject of Kristin Scott Thomas. Isn't it interesting that in 1996 in The English Patient she plays the love interest of Ralph Fiennes and in 2013 in The Invisible Woman she plays the mother of the love interest of Ralph Fiennes?

Mintyy · 20/06/2014 14:02

WHAT??? She looks like Amanda Holden? Don't be daft Confused. Amanda Holden! What a truly bizarre thing to say.

I think Erin O Connor is jaw-droppingly beautiful....she looks like some sort of alien statue...

KoalaDownUnder · 20/06/2014 17:00

mrsjavier, I have heard rumours of bum implants, but who knows.

What I can't figure out is why she loves her own arse so much: has it insured, apparently, and is certainly fond of sticking it out at the camera. Since when were huge arses something to aspire to? Confused

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 20/06/2014 17:12

I didn't realise Tilda is in her fifties!

limitedperiodonly · 20/06/2014 17:51

Kristin Scott Thomas hasn't yet succumbed to Botox, fillers or surgery. She looks her age (54) and is stunning

And you have access to her medical records?

IME that tautness of jaw and eye and cheekbones is remarkable in someone of 54 unless we're talking about someone from a H Rider Haggard story. She most certainly does not look her age.

If KST has used injectables or surgery that is up to her and good on her for choosing wisely. I'm certainly not going to hunt a confession from her. It's her business, not mine.

I just wonder why it's important to you to insist that she hasn't had anything done, when to me it's likely that she has.

Claiming that women can look like that without help is more depressing to ordinary mortals IMO, just like the fantasy that lots of women can continue to have babies in their mid to late forties naturally.

And yet those mummies we hear about are rich celebrities. And they usually produce twins. And they have taut jawlines too Hmm.

limitedperiodonly · 20/06/2014 17:58

KoalaDownUnder I'm not laughing about you for nominating Debbie Harry.

Almostfifty · 20/06/2014 18:10

I think she's stunning. Truly beautiful.

Icantcook · 20/06/2014 18:18

I think she is great. Stylish and a great actress.

phlebasconsidered · 20/06/2014 19:35

Romy Schneider, if we're just going on breathtaking looks and style. Plus she was in French films with Delon. Always watchable, stylish even in rags, perfectly lovely without slap.

CateBlanket · 20/06/2014 21:09

Jesus, limitedperiodonly, keep yer wig on!

No I haven't had access to her medical records - I'm not a journalist but I've looked at recent photographs of her like this one and this one and dozens more which show a woman with number 11s, crows' feet and lines on her forehead, cheeks, jaw. If she's had work done then she should ask for a refund. However, she is a beautiful woman in her 50s - and I know several who have a similar jawline without surgical intervention looks in mirror

Cariad007 · 20/06/2014 21:33

I don't think she's had any work done either. One thing to bear in mind is that a lot of publicity shots are airbrushed whereas those photos of her on the red carpet are how she really looks.

mrsjavierbardem · 20/06/2014 21:47

I think KSThomas doesn't look surged at all, she looks her age albeit like a goddess but a 54 year old goddess.
She obvs looks after herself, has great products but she pretty much looks her age.
But for women like her, and Helen Mirren and Susan Sarandon seem like genetic freaks of beauty.

But my dad worked in plastic surgeries for years and he said the really clever ones start work young, have tiny bits of work little and often and they end up looking naturally great; so it is possible some of my idols have had some seriously good and subtle work, and they didn't get addicted to it and they chose people who insisted on stopping and letting some ageing happen to camouflage the work.
My dad also said you can almost always tell a nose job, he said the instinctive eye knows that something in the face has changed in proportion, he used say he thought it was a species skill.

Mintyy · 20/06/2014 22:19

I'm not sure I've seen an up to date photo of KST.

mrsmalcolmreynolds · 20/06/2014 23:02

Lastminute to be fair I think Ralph Fiennes' character's (Charles Dickens') lover in The Invisible Woman is much younger than CD? So more of a reflection on CD than on casting choice really.

However there are plenty of other examples of female actors playing the mother etc. of characters played by male actors very close to their age with no such excuse!

mrsmalcolmreynolds · 20/06/2014 23:06

...and on another tack although I find her a bit extreme in looks, photos of Angelina Jolie doing her humanitarian stuff clearly show an age - appropriate level of fine lines which I like.

LastMinuteLil · 20/06/2014 23:20

mrsmalcolm I think it's the shunting of women into mother roles when men can go on being lovers for so much longer that is annoying. Just a reflection of life really, I suppose.Hmm

But I take your point about it being appropriate for the old goat CD.

And you're right about there being many other (and better) examples of that sort of casting. Sad

mrsmalcolmreynolds · 20/06/2014 23:27

Lastminute I couldn't agree more, it is outright sexism that insists that a woman actor who looks 50 is only fit for mother roles but an equivalent man is good to be an action hero/romantic lead/whatever.

CateBlanket · 20/06/2014 23:34

Mintyy - my first link was a photo of KST in Dec 2013 - plenty more recent ones on the web (not being arsey - I can't C&P on iPad Blush)

And to answer your OP- I don't think HBC is the most beautiful woman but she was ravishing in the Taylor Burton film.

LastMinuteLil · 20/06/2014 23:49

it is outright sexism that insists that a woman actor who looks 50 is only fit for mother roles but an equivalent man is good to be an action hero/romantic lead/whatever.

Indeed. And a less than gorgeous man can still be a hero/love interest whereas a 'not conventionally beautiful' tends to be the 'best friend' or, worse, the figure of fun.

As I said earlier one of the things I most admire about HBC is that she has experimented a bit in her career. And she's taken a few risks - some paid off, some didn't - but she was willing to give it a try. It would have been easy for her to stick to 'good looking posh girl' roles.

Of course, she'd still have ended up playing mothers...
