DH's decision holiday vs wife with sprained knee

That's it really. DH decided on the holiday 4 days with 2 other family members one of them OAP. Sprained knee happened Friday, holiday started Monday. Holiday could not easily be re-scheduled, knee is slowly getting better and I can drive short distance, have enlisted help to walk dog, we live in a bungalow. Just wondered what others thought.

Real friends find the time to help each other, I've recently been in plaster cast for smashing my knee and I was overwhelmed by how many people text and rang:

"Shall I walk the dog"
"I'm going Asda do you need anything?"
"shall I take ds school today?"
"does dd want to come back after school for he tea?

All completely normal with nothing expected in return, it's what friends do!
