to think that AIBU threads which start "to ask you..." should be banned?

Yes. I'm still on my thread-policing high horse.

But if someone is "asking you", then they are just posting here for traffic.

Apologies to Mardybra Flowers, wasn't quite sure what was going on as at our end we were getting reports of silly threads kicking off in AIBU but hadn't quite joined up the dots... Anyhow we do know it is frustrating if things get posted in AIBU that should and could be posted in a specific topic. If you report any you find, we will try to deal with them swiftly.
