I get this impression and have no idea why - is this my imagination or is this the case?

Where are you originally from?

I am thoroughly English.

KatieKaye No I can honestly say the Musselburgh sign doesn't 'upset me'. Amuse me maybe, which obviously didn't come across in my post.

Where I come from if a person claimed honestly the first thing you would think is 'what are they hiding' thus the urge to clutch the handbag Grin

But in all seriousness, I have many friends in Musselburgh, visit Staggs often and genuinely have nothing against the place Smile

SconeRhymesWithGone · 14/06/2014 20:06

I am American but my MN nickname is a Scottish reference. Smile

OOAOML · 14/06/2014 20:21

KatieKaye · 14/06/2014 20:47

Ah - you do know Musselburgh well if you talk about Staggs, rather than the Volunteer Arms! Haven't been there for years but you'll find me outside the Ship for the Fancy Dress Parade and having a light refreshment or two.

SquirrelledAway · 14/06/2014 23:37

Drink do you not have a Scottish road atlas?

England has equalised.

PhaedraIsMyName · 14/06/2014 23:39

England have equalised. I actually hope England do badly but only because England doing well might tip some of the undecided in the referendum over to the yes side.

But that aside I'd rather see England win than Italy.

moggiek · 14/06/2014 23:41

?? excellent Machiavellian thinking, Phaedra

PhaedraIsMyName · 14/06/2014 23:41

Good grief I'd forgotten about What Every Woman Wants (not me I'm sure I never set foot in one)
