To think Jamelia is a nut job

Loose Women today, Jamelia has decided in her wisdom that breast feeding should be compulsory.

WTAF?!

Pretty sure women should be able to dictate what they do with their own breasts!!!

Yes we all know breast feeding is better, but some choose and I emphasise CHOOSE to formula feed, and you know what's that's fine also, but can you really force women to use their body in a way they just simply don't want to??

mrswinni

I did not mean to offend you by what i said. As i stated in my post i don't for one second think a woman should be forced into doing something she doesn't want to do.

But i also think it is a bit odd to completely write something off as being awful without ever experiencing it for yourself IYSWIM

If you genuinley feel that BF is not for you then fine thats your choice. but don't sit and explain to a breastfeeding mother that it feels weird/strange/wrong and that you wouldn't 'like the sensation of the milk coming out'

bendydickcumonmybaps · 11/06/2014 13:44

Yes mrf she probably would spout off about people with illnesses having kids..that is the level of twattery she displays.

I would love to see how perfect she is with her children, since she is the greatest mum ever

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 11/06/2014 13:57

Once upon a time, yes, it was the only way to feed your child. Around the same time that infant mortality rates were higher.

BFing is a choice not an obligation, and I for one am pleased to live somewhere that there is a safe and suitable alternative.

Xcountry · 11/06/2014 14:00

She cant string a sentence together without every second or third word being "like" so why would you pay attention to her?

Boudica1990 · 11/06/2014 14:02

Because I'm heavily pregnant and hormonal Blush I normally wouldn't take any notice but she hit a nerve with me today, to call a new mum.selfish because of a decision that mum has made angered me.

Jamelia is thick and opinionated. Not a good combination. I don't think she will last much longer on LW as she hasn't even got the articulacy to back up her ignorant claims about this, that and the other (usually some woman hating clap trap she is spouting)

I found myself actually preferring MyKleen Ass last time I had the misfortune to hear her irritating yapping.

MrsAlexVause · 11/06/2014 14:07

Thank you Redtractor Grin

Onesleeptillwembley · 11/06/2014 14:08

I'm very pro breast feeding. But not everybody can, or even wants to. Totally their choice. A happier mum is better for the baby. Jamelia really is a stupid woman that thinks she's an intellectual.

Onesleeptillwembley · 11/06/2014 14:10

Just seen that she called non breast feeders selfish. I've seen red. Surely it's more selfish to be that stupid and procreate.

TyrannosaurusBex · 11/06/2014 14:10

I remember reading an interview with her where she kept bringing up the subject of Usher despite having to give really weird answers in order to bring the conversation round to him. I assumed it was 'Mentionitis' and she fancied him, but then she was asked whether she'd heard any weird rumours about herself and she replied that she'd heard rumours that she and Usher were an item, and that she thought he had a massive crush on her. The interviewer said that s/he'd never heard any mention of that at all, which made me Grin - since then I've thought she was a bit odd and delusional.

UriGeller · 11/06/2014 14:12

I stopped taking her seriously (as if I ever did) years ago when she was complaining about the pressures of being "so beautiful"

She IS a nut job.

bendydickcumonmybaps · 11/06/2014 14:12

I agree with Anyfucker that she seems to be a bit of a woman hater

MrsWinnibago · 11/06/2014 14:15

Turtley really...no. It's nothing to do with you...you can think it's "a bit odd" all you want but your opinion is of no consequence.

You said don't sit and explain to a breastfeeding mother that it feels weird/strange/wrong

Erm...why not?? If that's the case for someone...then WHY can't they SAY so??

Your friend's description of why she would not like to try is HER choice and she can tell who she wants to! Being a breastfeeding mother doesn't make you able to tell people what not to say about their OWN choices. Get off your high horse.

SofaCanary · 11/06/2014 14:16

She once said that she only passed her driving test because the examiner was 'star struck' Hmm

IWillYeah · 11/06/2014 14:17

She seems sweet but....not the brightest.

Who takes advice from the ' loose' women, any way? Grin

Every time Jamelia opens her mouth she comes across as stupid and ignorant. This time was no exception.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 11/06/2014 14:42

Oh yes fab idea, let's force women to breast feed, maybe fine them or incarcerate them if they cant? And take them off life saving drugs just so we can make them suffer yes?

And... What do we do with the babies who can't breastfeed? Force them? Starve them? Maybe strap their mouths on? Or just shout at them?

Fabulous idea. As long as you hate women and don't believe all babies should survive.

(I say as a woman who bf against all the odds, which was MY choice, as a fully independent and adult human being...)

MrsWinnibago · 11/06/2014 14:42

God I WISH Mumsnet would invite her on for a live Q&A session! Grin

Onesleeptillwembley · 11/06/2014 14:43

Hell no. She's that thick, ignorant and un self aware can you imagine the damage to people's blood pressure?

MrsWinnibago · 11/06/2014 14:47

One Yes! It would be hillarious! Nobody would ask her serious questions.

Onesleeptillwembley · 11/06/2014 14:56

Tis tempting, agreed, but really? Would she get it?

Mrsjayy · 11/06/2014 14:59

Jamelia just opensher mouth and says stuff I dont watch it anymore but when I did I was slack jawed at her. This latest rubbish is just tha t rubbish although she probably isnt alone in thinking that

Mrsjayy · 11/06/2014 15:02

Maybe she thought if she said usher 3 times he would appear like beetle juice Grin

Virgolia · 11/06/2014 15:06

YANBU

This is happening in Dubai I think it is and it's disgusting. Women who can't feed are forced to get a wet nurse. Despicable.
