To think everyone should be tired, sunburnt having been to the open farm Sunday today?

Because we are! We had a great day holding baby animals and ferrets, donkey rides and archery and lots and lots of exciting things for the children to do.

Open Farm Sunday happens every year in June and is a great time for families to visit the farm!

Dd is sunburnt.

She wore a stroppy dress while we were put supporting the runners in the local half marathon.

ICanHearYou · 08/06/2014 20:04

Sorry I failed to mention it before the event(s) bad form

Best thing to do would be to google it and find out when your nearest one is.

sunbathe · 08/06/2014 20:08

I'll make a note for next year. Sounds fun.

HaroldLloyd · 08/06/2014 20:10

I want a stroppy dress. Perfect for MNing in.

Picturesinthefirelight · 08/06/2014 20:17

Well she is almost 13!

No strops today though. Just one from ds complaining his legs were tired from standing! Tell that to the runners who has just run up 'heartbreak hill'

DoJo · 08/06/2014 20:19

Picturesinthefirelight

Where does one find 'stroppy' dresses - I think my son needs one...! Grin

Picturesinthefirelight · 08/06/2014 20:22

Lol. On holiday in Tenerife.

Me typing fast on my phone coupled with autocorrect does cause some strange spellings at times!

meditrina · 08/06/2014 20:25

I want a stroppy dress!

And I want it NOW!

TheFairyCaravan · 08/06/2014 20:29

I'm tired, I've been majorly de-cluttering my house this week. Today I've caught up with washing and ironing. I've petted 2 hamsters while they've been cleaned out!

My kids are too old for farms, but they do sound like a good day out if you've got younger ones.

MrsCripps · 08/06/2014 20:32

YABVVU to allow your Dc to be sunburnt.
Why do you think this is desirable or the mark of a nice day out Hmm

Lilaclily · 08/06/2014 20:34

I was at work

but the dcs had an epic time in the garden with their dad Grin

ICanHearYou · 08/06/2014 20:34

Ours had bouncy castles, ferret racing, vintage tractors, a tiny big wheel, cream teas and other cakes, amazing hot dogs (with rubbish buns, dry and rubbish)

Pony rides, archery and puppet shows - oh and tiny weenie baby pigs :)

The only things missing was a hog roast and a bar...

Lilaclily · 08/06/2014 20:34

oh MrsCripps it's a light hearted thread no?

HaroldLloyd · 08/06/2014 20:35

There is no lighthearted on MN Lila. Grin

LaydeeJayne · 08/06/2014 20:36

Yes we went it was great! I am tired and my neck is sunburnt too.

MrsCripps · 08/06/2014 20:37

Oh fuck well sorry- but if you have watched someone die of melanoma then you dont find sunburn very funny Sad
Sorry ill be off Sad

teaandthorazine · 08/06/2014 20:38

I knew someone would be on here perfect-mothering about the sunburn comment Hmm

TheFairyCaravan · 08/06/2014 20:39
Shock

You can't have a hog roast where there are tiny weenie baby pigs!

Won't somebody think of the children? Sad
