To start a new term at the Chalet School?

Happy for this to be moved to Chat if posters agree but thought I'd start it here as this is where we've all been loitering without permission when we should be doing our housework homework.

So welcome to a new term everyone. Cases upstairs to the dormitories, form lists on the notice board. And you'll all be pleased to hear that even though we've moved to a different location, Joey has tracked us - -down moved in next door, so we'll still be seeing too much-- plenty of her Smile

It just needs Mary-Lou, our OAO, to come along and give you a pep talk and suddenly all is right and you believe in God.

Whyamihere · 12/06/2014 12:01

Naomi can't remember her surname off the top of my head and I'm at work so I can't check.

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:12

Oh good one yes Naomi.

I have long dark hair, an unfortunate start, a commen friend but my parents taught me right from wrong.

TooSpotty · 12/06/2014 12:14

Rosamund Lilley.

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:18

How was Naomi lame in a fire? Burnt yes but lame??

How does Jack cure her when she's been to see presumably the best surgeons but a medical doctor specialising in TB cures her?

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:19

Excellent Too do you feel we have misspent our time Grin

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:20

I was locked in the games shed and could make Wimbledon but am heedless.

RobinHumphries · 12/06/2014 12:24

Carola Johnstone?

Whyamihere · 12/06/2014 12:27

Blossom?

DeWee · 12/06/2014 12:31

I've juts reached the point in Future Chalet School girl where they receive the minibus:
Oh, isnt it pretty? Con said ecstatically. Lime-green and cream! Just the two colours I love."
Grin Grin Grin Grin

Anyone here think a lime green minbus or anything else lime green sounds pretty?

RobinHumphries · 12/06/2014 12:32

I'm a novel character as I don't get on with Mary-Lou, in fact I think we are described as enemies (yay go me!) but emigrate to America so never get to reform and be considered "a true Chalet girl"

DeWee · 12/06/2014 12:33

Why are all my punctuation marks turning to boxes?
!"$%^&*() Confused

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:37

Yep Blossom.

Robin my lamb Carola didn't think!! Grin

DeWee · 12/06/2014 12:43

They didn't that time? Help, I've offended the spirit of EBD and she has attacked my keyboard. Only the pound sign changed that time, last time it was the speech marks. Lets see...
!"$%^&*()_+

Mary Lou's enemy was something beginning with P..she was meant to be good at Maths, which is always a sign of a bad character in EBD's eyes. I know Phil Craven.

RobinHumphries · 12/06/2014 12:44
Blush

my next report will say "must try harder". Madge will be so disappointed at my position on the form list

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 12/06/2014 12:46

Who emigrates to America? Is it Phil Craven?

I don't think any minibus can be described as pretty! Also hate lime green - it sounds like a Twister ice lolly.

I have a ramrod jaw.
I fall into a mine-shaft type pit while gathering Blaubereen.

I damage my eyes saving a man from a burning plane
I stay at school for years and years longer than any of my original playmates.

Whyamihere · 12/06/2014 12:49

Cornelia Flowers - love the character.

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:58

Robin stumped!! Have to work now. Bugger.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 12/06/2014 12:58

Naomi's ligaments shrank and it made her the shape she is now?? Don't get it either - was she actually all scarred and burnt under her clothes? It says her shoulders are crooked/hunchbacked, and she walks with a cane. I have no idea what the wonderful doctors at the San could possibly do to fix burn scars - skin grafts? How did burns make her shoulders deformed?

thebodylovesspring · 12/06/2014 12:58

Too Corney.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 12/06/2014 13:06

Yup, Corney! Well done, WhyamI and thebody.

Just out of interest, has anyone ever heard of babies who start life with red hair and then it changes to blonde or brunette? I've seen babies start off with dark hair which goes blonde, or vice-versa...but deep coppery red?

ToniWol · 12/06/2014 13:19

Oh my. I go to work for the morning and there's suddenly a post explosion.

On the red hair. SLOC has hair that was much redder as a child, so I suspect it's possible. It's now much darker.

DeWee · 12/06/2014 13:36

Dd1 had fairly bright red hair for a time as a baby, she then went blond and is now mid brown.

JuniperTisane · 12/06/2014 13:59

DS2 is definitely tending towards the pale ginger end of the spectrum right now. His dad did too but it was really dark brown by about 10.

Stokey · 12/06/2014 14:04

I'm also a bit sceptical that triplets would have different coloured eyes - Grey, deep blue and brown - really? And why do they all have the same first name?
