... though, I'm happy to have someone else's milk in my fridge!

Sparklingbrook · 06/06/2014 13:58

I think anyone who has managed to BF successfully should be issued with a medal. But not one with breastmilk in. Grin

dexter73 · 06/06/2014 15:36

it's a reminder of something significant to them.

I just take my bra off and my poor droopy boobs remind me!

Sparklingbrook · 06/06/2014 15:40

Grin dexter.

Shallishanti · 06/06/2014 15:54

never mind is it your milk....is it milk at all or just a white plastic sphere??
I think I agree with the poster who said it makes bf too much of a 'thing'...it's like we have become so alienated from our own bodies and what they can do that we memorialise what should be a normal unremarkable function, like digestion.

jeanmiguelfangio · 06/06/2014 16:02

I think it is a bit weird, not sure id want to wear it. Not that I could bf mind and if I did really not sure my dh would want them in his cufflinks. I will ask him later mind, just to check

Aeroflotgirl · 06/06/2014 16:06

Absolutely grim.

TurtleyAmazing · 06/06/2014 16:10

who in their right mind wants to wear abit of umbilical stump on a bracelet?

although i have DS stump in a jar inside a box for sentimental reasons and partly because im a looney

MackerelOfFact · 06/06/2014 16:24

Wouldn't it sort of deteriorate and separate or curdle? Unless they heat treat it or something, which seems a bit of a faff for such a tiny amount of milk.

I'm all for breastfeeding too, but wearing your breast milk on a necklace isn't breastfeeding.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/06/2014 16:26

Now my baby days are well and truly over the sentimental part of me would love thisBlush I wouldn't tell anyone what it was though!

Pipsmilkmaid · 06/06/2014 17:30

I have one. My son was premature so I used milk from my expressed stash as luckily he was able to come home fully breastfed. It reminds me that my milk is what grew him from a tiny 3 lbs at birth to over a stone at 10 months actual it helps me when i have days of feeling lije i failed not carrying him to term. No one would no looking at itwhat it is.

Sparklingbrook · 06/06/2014 17:39

How about one of these for the Christmas tree instead?

im all for breast feeding
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/06/2014 18:20

Pip, me too, it nearly killed me expressing all that milk!

Sparklingbrook · 06/06/2014 18:26

My best success with expressing was 1oz in an hour. Go me. Grin

Catsize · 06/06/2014 18:42

That is one very odd Christmas decoration. Poor Emmy Elizabeth. Confused

katese11 · 06/06/2014 18:42

Nothing could be grimmer than placenta teddy bears!

Salmotrutta · 06/06/2014 18:47

Well, if we want to celebrate perfectly ordinary and natural things ...

Can anyone tell me if there is a market for ear wax jewellery?

DH could corner it if there is Hmm

BertieBotts · 06/06/2014 18:54

TBH for me they are a bit up there with the "yoni portrait jewellery" where you can get a necklace made out of your "own personal flower"

Hmm Confused

I have seen people obsess and coo over these breastmilk things and I find it a bit odd. Each to their own I suppose?

BertieBotts · 06/06/2014 18:54

katese! Shock Do I really want to google that?

gemmal88 · 06/06/2014 18:56

I don't think the milk beads are too bad and the first curl thing is quite cute. Then I saw the umbilical cord bit which was a bit much...

Sparklingbrook · 06/06/2014 18:58

Isn't it Catsize? Grin Is Winnie the Pooh breastfeeding there? I can't quite work it out.

Catsize · 06/06/2014 20:01

Always thought WtP was male. Maybe he is being breastfed by his mum... Winnifred? Anyway, all a tad odd. Piglet looks a bit left out.

mrsbucketxx · 06/06/2014 21:13

Or that piglet looks like hes perving wrong on so many levels.

ThePinkOcelot · 06/06/2014 21:56

The price of them is the only thing that I would question
