AIBU to think that this is a weird thing for my 17 year old ds to say!

OK. My teenage kids have got some friends round tonight for a BBQ and a couple of drinks.

I just went upstairs to my bedroom and as I was in my bedroom, my 17 year old ds who had just been to the loo, walked across the landing towards his bedroom saying "right, it's my turn to sit on you bitch" to his gay friend who was in there.

I am flabbagasted! What does it mean?

He knew I heard him and just laughed it off and said I'm just joking, he didn't look at all embarresed!

Someone shed some light please!

It'll take time for you to process it, but so glad he felt able to talk to you.

Another one who didn't spot the date difference and thought this had all moved suspiciously quickly :o
Worra we are having a BBQ on Sunday according to dh. I will be wearing lots of layers and drinking lots so I don't care about the cold

Stealthpolarbear · 22/08/2014 18:19

What would you want to "do about it" anyway?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 22/08/2014 18:58

Aww you lot are nice, even on AIBU Grin Think a stiff drink with a friend is in order tonight.

How do I feel? a bit sad. He'd make a great dad and was looking forward to him making me a grandma!

He still might. You should be really pleased that you have the sort of relationship where he felt ok about coming out, I know it's not what you imagined but as you said, you're not completely shocked.

Enjoy your drink!

If you think he will make a good Dad, he will. Smile

I bet you are all over the place, but proud that he knows himself and is comfortable to talk to you. I hope you have some one you can drink wine with tonight and talk all your feelings through with x

This! It's great he felt he could tell you. He could very well still want children!

My youngest step son and his lovely partner are going to make me a grandma (step grandma?) very soon. They will both make fantastic dads as, I am sure, will your son if that is what he wants.
