In this kind of situation I just feel sorry for the children and wonder what else they have to witness?

Lol

If that was the criteria for children being taken into care there would be hundreds of thousands and the system couldn't cope

It's not possible to stop racist scum bags from having children

PrincessBabyCat · 20/05/2014 14:47

Those matching pajama pants.

I can't imagine it's a good situation for the kids to be in if she gets that drunk while they're in her care.

IdkickJilliansAss · 20/05/2014 14:48

Both being drunk in charge of children and spouting racial hatred are illegal...lol

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 20/05/2014 14:48

My immediate worry would be that she is drunk in charge of two young children. And not just a bit tipsy but absolutely twatted.

TBF, she's being disgustingly rude to everyone not just the black man.

Whilst her behaviour is appalling, whether her kids should be taken in to care surely depends on how she cares for them on a normal day, and how often things like this happen! To be honest though, her DCs don't seem shocked or surprised to see their mum like this.Sad

PrincessBabyCat · 20/05/2014 14:48

But I don't think they should be taken away. Just stick her in AA and tell her to lay off the sauce while small children are in her care.

WorraLiberty · 20/05/2014 14:48

This is quite old now but I remember a few threads about it at the time

Poor DC Sad

ComposHat · 20/05/2014 14:49

That was horrible, but taking people's kids off them as you dont agree with their (vile) political views smacks of fascism.

weatherall · 20/05/2014 14:49

You offering to take them in, OP?

IdkickJilliansAss · 20/05/2014 14:52

The drunkenness is more of a pressing issue than her idiotic views surely!

YouTheCat · 20/05/2014 14:53

I thought they banned drinking on the Tube?

She's a stupid twat though. Those poor kids.

nobodyepic · 20/05/2014 15:00

Well most seem to disagree they should be taken away. What can be done in this kind of situation. The poor children seem completely unaffected as if this is an everyday occurance Sad

Whoa! She could barely stand on her feet! Scary

Nancy66 · 20/05/2014 15:08

the belching and retching was particularly attractive. Even more worrying, she looked pregnant to me

Canthisonebeused · 20/05/2014 15:43

Believe me if this were a regular occuracne and she wasn't meeting her childrens needs they would be placed on cp plans for sure.

Canthisonebeused · 20/05/2014 15:51

I notice the little girl is in school uniform and looks very presentable. As far as social services go they can only investigate what is presented to them. So on the surface the child is attending school and is clean and tidy.

LividofLondon · 20/05/2014 15:58

I wonder if anyone who got off the train alerted the guards or the transport police? I know I would've, and she'd be easy enough to spot in a crowd with those trousers wouldn't she!

awaynboilyurheid · 20/05/2014 16:30

Lets hope they did tell police although by the look of it the older daughter is well used to it, she looks so sad

MakeMineaMartina · 20/05/2014 16:57

Op I agree totally with you.

nobodyepic · 20/05/2014 17:36

Its

OP posts:
nobodyepic · 20/05/2014 17:37

it's how casual the children seem to be that gets me! They don't stand a chance!

OP posts:
gordyslovesheep · 20/05/2014 17:48

I found that really distressing to watch - those poor poor children - I would have followed her home and called the police - she was pissed and incapable of caring for them :(

Owllady · 20/05/2014 17:57

Social services do take a very dim view on parents with that level of alcoholism don't they? Confused poor children

partialderivative · 20/05/2014 18:03

She will have remembered nothing of this by the time she sobered up.

I hope someone shows her it. This maybe the point at which she realises she needs serious help and that her children are in danger.

andsmile · 20/05/2014 18:04

OP I agree IF

This mother does indeed have serious alcohol problem that impairs her ability to look after her children on a regular basis.

BUT also that is it temporary while she gets help. Her children should at least be on the at risk register and being monitored for their basic care.

It is horrible how the little girl tries to talk to her mother, especially about the stop, I heard her hask about going home too. The other child seems much older and seems to keep quiet and still I'm guessing out of embarrassment.

nobodyepic · 20/05/2014 19:44

I completely agree, she should always have the chance to have them back if they ever were taken away!
