To ask about Sindy dolls?

Dd is asking working on me to get her a barbie doll. I'm afraid I really can't stand barbie and the way barbie dolls look.

Has anyone got an Sindy dolls? Are they nice and would you recommend them? Where could I buy some and which ones should I get?

I too am not a fan of barbie (particularly her ridiculously small outfits) but DD has a few and enjoys playing with them.

I have minor concerns about the body image aspects but then I have bought DS a batman model that he really wanted and don't lose sleep over him injecting steroids as a teenager because he thinks he needs to look like bruce Wayne.

The one rule I do stick to absolutely with regards to body image is no copies of Closer/Now etc in the house with the constant comparisons of womens' bodies. IMO that's much more harmful than a Barbie doll.
