to wonder why people are so obsessed with wearing extremely tight jeans

We have a dress down day on a Friday at work and every week the younger men and women in the office come into work in skin tight jeans. They look very uncomfortable to wear particularly for the men

Me and others find it baffling as they look so uncomfortable so why would they want to wear them or is it just me getting old.

My skinny jeans are massively more comfortabke than my Gap bootcuts.

I'm old enough to remember the original tight jeans, mine were OK (I've always had hips, so I couldn't wear the tightest of tight), but DM almost died laughing when she saw DSIS mate lying on the bedroom floor fighting her way into her jeans. DF was tiny, DM could quite see how her jeans could be that tight.

Jesus I only tried these on today. They are not made for the tubby. I had a gunt, I tell thee.

Are straight jeans any better? I can't find bootcut and id live something different.

OP, I thought like you until I tried some on a year or so ago. I had thought they were like the tight jeans of my youth, nipping and pinching after I'd squeezed myself in but NO, the reality was the complete opposite - they are so stretchy they are the most comfortable jeans in my wardrobe. I do now have a pair of Gap super skinnies which I find a bit of a struggle as they are just too small and I'm in denial but the other two pairs I have are great.

I have a couple of old pairs of Levi's I bought on eBay as they don't make the specific "number" I like anymore. However I am having difficulty wearing them however as they are just so stiff, no give in them whatsoever and I'm just not used to it anymore!

Age 37 here, and live in J-Brand jeans. They're made of cotton, so they're incredibly comfortable and lightweight.

stopgap try Rag & Bone - I was a complete J Brand fan but tried some Rag & Bone and I prefer them and they are quite a lot cheaper.

I'm in my late 40's, I struggle to get jeans that fit.

Skinnies are the best fitting for me and the new combined cotton/Lycra fabrics around make them as comfy as leggings.

I find it more practical to buy cheaper ones and replace them more often.

I think finding "normal" jeans that fit is down to luck and having days to shop for clothes.

I wear those superskinny jeans and my DDs do too. They're comfy- I prefer wearing them to slim or straight jeans in fact.
