To think that health professionals shouldn't say, "You must be crazy" when you tell them this is your third baby?

It was nicely rather than meanly meant, but is having a third baby really so "crazy"?

If 2.4 children is/was the average, I'm certainly not at the 'extreme' end of the spectrum.

My other children are near 6 and 3, so not very very young.

Confused

It's not crazy having 3, you'll be fine. "was it planned?" is fine from a HCP as a pregnancy is more risky if you've got a coil wrapped round your placenta and ectopic pregnancy is slightly more common if you're on the pill. Also if you're pregnancy isn't planned they will want to know if you're feeling ok emotionally.

A HCP saying "you must be crazy" is a bit off but not completely inappropriate.

i was flattered they thought it was my first then my notes caught up with me and they thought i had one more at every appointment i had to explain this was number three they all looked at me like i was nuts! then when they found out he was my last they wanted to know why i wasn't having more? Grin cant win!
