To think that North West is a ridiculous name?

Just been watching 'The Lie' on STV and one of the questions was something like 'is North West the child of whoever'. I thought that that was the lie but apparently it isn't
Any more ridiculous baby names (celebrity or not)

It's a ridiculous name! They clearly didn't give much thought to the poor child growing up with a name like that.

I honestly wonder what goes through some folks heads when naming their children (and as a teacher I've heard some bizarre ones!)

I'm not a Kim/Kanye fan or anything but I will admit....I kind of like the name North (not the silly word play with west though).

Moreover, I really like the nickname Nori

I laughed so hard at the George Forman fact that I woke up the dog.

I work with a woman who's four children's stupid names are all a made up anagram of her own name. She thinks she is very clever and that it is a secret. She isn't and it's not.
It doesn't work very well because the names are all too wired and nonsensical.

Looks like Trey Smith changed his name. He was originally Willard Carroll Smith III... Great!

Will Smiths oldest son is named after him as well. He is Will Smith III. Known as Trey, I think derived from three as he was the third.

North West, while utterly daft, isn't actually so bad. What worries me more is how they might follow the name up with DC2 .

Jaden & Willow would be absolutely fine names - if they weren't named after Jada & Will. It really lacks imagination to just give your DCs a re-hashed version of your own name. Although, I suppose, they have shown a little more imagination than George Forman .

I'm personally not keen on the name of Kerry Katona's new daughter Dylan-Jorge. It just sounds as though she's in for a lifetime of "did your parents want a boy" .

North is a compass point. It is not a name.

Zowie Bowie is now Duncan Jones and makes very good films (query as "Bowie " is pronounced as in bow not bough was "Zowie" pronounced "Zoë)

I just think of the North West of England when I read about 'North'. I envisage grey skies, the tide out on Southport Beach, long faces, pink and white striped Southport rock, boarded up shops, a fierce wind blowing, lone people walking on the beach with a dog, rain belting down at a 20 degree angle, with 'Every day is like Sunday' playing in the background as a soundtrack. Oh the glamour!
