Dd had cp 2 weeks ago, she has a few lolittle marks left and a crater on her back, nothing major but my poor beautiful 10 month old ds had them in his eczema on his face and he's full of little craters on his face and chin. I know it's shallow but I'm heartbroken about his beautiful little baby face :(

Bio oil op is fantastic.

Ds2 has some still and he's 23!! Gorgeous though!

DD1 was in a bad accident aged 12 and has scars everywhere including her face but oil helps.

I know you feel in some way responsible but you are not. They will fade.

My three had it in March. Dd has a nasty scar on her eyebrow and a smaller on on her lip. Ds2 has lots of scars all over him, he had a very bad dose of it, smothered head to foot. They will fade in time.

I know how u feel, my little boy has a big scar on his nose, he had such a beautiful little nose but I'm sure as he gets older it will become less noticeable.

Just bumping this as looking for reassurance. DS had two scabs above his eyebrow which fell off, rescabbed and now he has two big craters there. I've ordered some rosehip oil to massage the scars and I know the redness will fade but am wondering if the cratering will lessen over time. He's 5 now.

I reckon they will fade, I was quite badly burnt over my head at this age and in intensive care. I have no visible scaring at all. Apparently the doctors said that at this early age skin regenerates and heals well. Bio oil is also good, but I wouldn't worry

My DS had chicken pox badly at 20 months and was left with 1 particular huge scar mark by his left ear - really raised and basically like a large mole without any colour. I just assumed it would always be like that but in the last 6 months since he turned 4, it's suddenly flattened and seems to be going as his face grows round it.

Hopefully your DS's scars will do the same and be barely visible as he gets older.

Thanks. I know I'm being a bit silly as a few wee scars aren't the end of the world but they just look so angry right now.

Ditsy do are you under a dermatologist? I am an eczema sufferer As is my poor little one (he has it so severe he has been on betnovate for his face). One thing I would say was not to use e45 especially on the face as I think it has lanolin in it. I see one of the top paediatric detmatoloigists In the country and he has me only put epaderm ointment on him.
