Honestly it's just so exhausting, I'm convinced dc 4 would be much happier living with a zillion other over talkative children...

So send her to live in some sort of commune with adults who love children that do.not.stop.talking.at.all.ever?

I feel your pain. Ds was late starting to talk and I was desperate for him to start, but once he did, he hasn't stopped since. Tonight he was talking away with a mouthful of brush as I was helping him brush his teeth.
I'm sitting here in blissful silence now he's in bed. Smile

Asleeponasunbeam · 27/04/2014 20:51

They'd all just talk their random nonsense over each other and nobody would ever have to hear it?

I'll send DD. Her baby brother appears to be heading the same way too (but 2 year old nonsense is somehow cuter than nearly 5 year old nonsense).

Queen0fFeckingEverything · 27/04/2014 20:52

Overly talkative children don't seem to like other overly talkative children very much though Confused

DS (3.5 and extremely very talkative to the point of me wanting to eat my own ears by about 9 every morning) told me today that he doesn't like Kieran* at nursery because "he says things all over again all of the time".

DS of course never repeats himself a million times getting louder and higher pitched every time until someone yells STOOOOOP. Never. Oh no.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 27/04/2014 20:52

What about the ones who talk a normal amount BUT CAN ONLY DO OT AT THE TOPS OF THEIR VOICES? waggles finger in ear that is still ringing two hours after bed time

LyndaCartersBigPants · 27/04/2014 20:53

Ooh yes, save me a couple of spaces, I've got two candidates!

Queen0fFeckingEverything · 27/04/2014 20:53

*Kieran's name has been changed to protect the innocent Grin

MerryInthechelseahotel · 27/04/2014 20:54

Make sure there is a space for my ds. We could visit on Sundays and that would be fun!

RandomMess · 27/04/2014 20:54

Well my eldest was like this but the other 3 came along and it kind of washed over me after that, but the youngest OMG, now her sisters don't play with as much (as they are 11 & 12 now) geez it's driving me insane...

She is nearly 9 and it's not lessening at all!!!! At times she will come with me to get petrol and the like so she can have my undivided listening

I'm sending one of my DD immediately, where do I sign up!

ICanSeeTheSun · 27/04/2014 20:54

Sign DD up.

She doesn't stop talking.

annoyedmum10 · 27/04/2014 20:55

I have a dd who is also the same, she drives me nuts at time, can not answer a simple yes or no question.

RandomMess · 27/04/2014 20:56

Snagging point, would we find any adults actually willing to live with them...

OP posts:
HedgeHogGroup · 27/04/2014 20:58

I'll send one.... perfect job for members of the deaf community?

Asleeponasunbeam · 27/04/2014 20:59

I'm sure they'll manage quite well without adults, Random. I imagine they all share the...ahem...'leadership traits... That my darling child has.

LJBanana · 27/04/2014 21:00

Ooh I have 2 more to add. They do the TALKING ALL THE TIME AT MAXIMUM VOLUME.

I have used the phrases ' I think you've used your word allowance today.'

And
'Seriously turn the (fucking-said under my breath) volume down.'

About 5892992555 today!
They're present, correct and handsome, are they in?

Nowitscleanugobshite · 27/04/2014 21:00

I think they have been rehomed in that group already? It's called "mrs nowitsclean...." p1 class!!! And tomorrow I get to head back to see& HEAR all about what they did at Easter!!! Which will involve me nodding smiling LOTS of times about Ana, Elsa, and something about a glove???

Thetallesttower · 27/04/2014 21:02

Ooh, can mine join? They never ever stop, but don't seem to mind it in each other, they never stop chatting. On holiday I thought my ears would explode.

RandomMess · 27/04/2014 21:04

I'm not sure what happens the first week of term/half term but those evenings after school I work late and leave dh to it. It's like she's on a complete red bull high (not that I actually know if that is what a can of red bull would do to her)

I frequently insist on silence when maneouvering the car and sometimes whilst just driving because it's so distracting. I'm expected to listen and hold intelligent conversation at all times Hmm

ClariceBeanthatsme · 27/04/2014 21:06

There must be an adult there to answer all the questions too. The many never ending questions...

ICanSeeTheSun · 27/04/2014 21:07

Dd :-what day is it?
Me :- Sunday
Dd :- is that after Saturday
Me :- yes
Dd whats the number ( she means date)
Me 27th
Dd :- what's the day tomorrow

< repeat as above> x1000

Longdistance · 27/04/2014 21:07

Can dd1 join? She's 4.5, and talks for everyone, and at high volume.

It's the questions. I answer the question, she asks it again, the same BLOODY question, again and again.

RandomMess · 27/04/2014 21:10

The relief when she can spend a few hours at the weekend over the road at her friends, we all sigh with relief! Even the cats get subjected to the endless chatter and are in constant "training" to do tricks...

OP posts:
Whereisegg · 27/04/2014 21:10

When can I expect the bus to collect ds please?

He narrates his entire life!

ILoveFrogs · 27/04/2014 21:12

Ha, so happy to know it's not just mine! He literally doesn't shut up, ever! I'd happily sign him up!
