To want to food shop where I chose?

DP and I are trying to save for a big holiday and trying not to spend unnecessarily. Food shopping is an area that we could probably cut back on (buying basic products etc.).
I really feel comfortable (any one else have this when at a supermarket?!) shopping somewhere that sounds like "Mainsburies". I like their produce, I think they are reasonably priced and it is easy to get to from home. I also have a nectar card to collect points for money off shopping.
DP thinks it's too expensive. He suggested we try to shop at an alternative store, one that sounds like "Mazda". We went today and saved about £3. I didn't get any points and I didn't feel comfortable, didn't really feel like I "belonged". Sounds ridiculous, I know...

AIBU to want to shop at my usual? Should I compromise with DP and save the odd pound whilst longing to shop at my old haunt?

Bit of a preposterous question, I suppose, but I thought I'd ask on here!

Oh, and Lidl sell a superb red wine, British too, called Baywood. Gorgeous.

The Rose is okay, leave the white well alone.

And Aldi gin is highly rated, but I have a bottle and half of Bombay Sapphire, so not bought a any yet. But DH got a fab whiskey at Christmas, which he loves.

I shop one week at Asda, one week at Sainsbury's. Haven't noticed any discernable difference in the clientele. Asda is definitely cheaper for some stuff like nappies and wipes, which you can buy in boxes but can't at Sainsbury's. Sainsbury's deli ham is nicer and I like their fish cakes. Asda sells Johnsons breast pads which are the best, Sainsbos doesn't.

So it's good to not settle completely for one or the other.
