To judge someone on their toilet ?

I know I probably am...

I am no snob, but ...

Jesus Christ, what is it with folk and not cleaning their shitters?

I immediately lose alot of respect for someone who has a filthy toilet. Ok, so a one off fine. Esspecially of kids live there. But I have been to a few mates houses and their toilet is always filthy. I now cannot eat there and always equate them as being grotty :/ its awful, I know.

Am I abnormal? AIBU?

That 0% limescale loo stuff is awesome (cant remember the make and frankly cant be bothered to get up to look) just to completely throw it out there and make all your lives that little bit better Wink

YANBU! Comical but true, I read threads like this and run to check my loo! I generally keep a tidy house but a clean loo has priority. Yet it never fails, I read a thread like this and run to check for sure :)

It also never fails that I just get done cleaning it (like today) and dc or dh will muck it up somehow (they are currently at hardware buying plunger!) and I end up having a re-do!

It's only £1 in Poundland too!

Hate going into dirty toilets, there's no need for it. One of my friend's toilet is clean enough although she could clean the wee marks off the seat a bit more often but there is no soap in her toilet...which means no one in that house is washing their hands after they've been to the toilet.
Me on the other hand, my house is a total tip except for the toilets I have some sort of problem I think cos after people have been round I have to clean the toilets, the seat gets bleached and the flush button, I lift the seat up and clean round there, I clean the floor in case some one pissed on the floor and I've been known to beach the tap, door handle and light pull...believe me I'm nothing like this with the rest of my house!

Solo- bargain!

Very- bleaching light pull? Fab idea!

Has made both my loos smell like heaven - the smell has lasted days so far! And it is a really great disinfectant :)

I do love mumsnet. I can go from learning about where to get decent work trousers, to My Skidder Shame in the click of mouse! Grin

It is nice, but I use Flash and I use white vinegar for cleaning in general. For the loo, I use a variety of cleaners: Domestos, Harpic, Duck and bi carb and white vinegar.

Might purchase a bottle of Zoflora for old times sake and for my toilet brush!!!
