Yeah, I know, smokers stink, what about Roy Castle, you make my clothes smell, cancer sticks, idiot sticks etc. But there was something nice about having a pint and a fag, or a cup of tea and a fag, or watching telly with a fag, or punctuating the good bit of a book with a fag, or staying up all night writing an essay with a hundred fags. I miss it. Plus these days people seem to be offended by a fag even in the open air, or by vaping which as far as I can make out is similar in effect to standing next to a boiling kettle. Anybody else nostalgic for days gone by when tenants could do as they liked in their own living-rooms?

My mother used to smoke 90 a day. I don't really know what to say to you. The smell of cigarette smoke just somehow isn't that romantic when you're a schoolkid and your hair, clothes and skin fucking stink of it constantly and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm glad the majority of LLs don't allow smoking in their properties. It is shit for the adults who want to smoke but I'm really happy that so many kids will be spared the mortifying, disgusting experience of smelling like an ashtray every day of their lives.

With ex we were both smokers so a fag on bed after dtd was delightful.

I haven't smoked since before I started ttc ds (now 20months) but I'm still a fag hag at heart. we used to only smoke in our kitchen with the back door open but I miss standing there with a cuppa chatting to my dp.
I do think that the smoking ban was a good idea tho, it was my choice to smoke, and its lovely to come back from the pub and not have to change your clothes straight away.
