AIBU or is my cat ?

He's over on the other sofa. Snuggled up to DH. And he's staring at me giving me huge cat evils. He's spent the last month refusing to settle unless he was sat on me. I may have tempted him over here 4weeks ago with promises of stroking and other delights (and Sheba) But now I am dead to him.

YABU. All cats know that they are the true rulers of the Earth.

My cat avoids dh fussing him and lowers his back but let's visiting men fuss him.

My cat spent all her time snuggling up to dh until I got pregnant, when she fell in love with my bump and spent as much time as possible cuddled up to it. I think she could hear the heartbeat. Is pregnancy an option to win back cat's affections, op?!

I think the op may have taken the hint and left, she has not been back on this thread for a while obviously no longer needed by her cat

poor op I hope she is not wondering around with her suitcase trying to make friends with another cat :(

Ha ha firsttimemummy I wish. I'm afraid I'm a tad past that as a possible technique !

To update he spent all last week pointedly ignoring my lap even when I fed him fish and DH was out. I think he has taken a dislike to my fleecy throw because it is not green. DH has put a lovely green throw on the other sofa which appears to have mystic cat attracting powers. Not sure why maybe it has been steeped in catnip?

Anyway to make matters worse we are currently at PILs, going home tomorrow. I am expecting a very cold reception indeed. It normally takes at least a day to be forgiven when we have been away.
