This is what David Cameron just said at the end of the BBC benefit programme

Does he not know what welfare is? Has he forgotten the ethos of where it has evolved from

It's progress. You can't stop it.

God help us.

WooWooOwl · 13/04/2014 22:40

You are seriously projecting some of your own irrelevant personal issues onto what I have said there Partial.

PartialFancy · 13/04/2014 22:51

Lets go back to your plain ol' wrong statement that pensioners are not claiming benefits, then WooWoo.

Doesn't matter whether they rely on it or not, pensioners get universal, non-means tested welfare benefits.

Stop claiming otherwise.

WooWooOwl · 13/04/2014 22:55

I'm not claiming otherwise, but nor am I criticising anyone who claims benefits in any way shape or form, so it's irrelevant.

You are twisting points for the sake of being argumentative.

PartialFancy · 13/04/2014 22:56

And before you try to deflect yet again, I will add that I think universal benefits are a good thing. Because for all the Peter Stringfellows who don't need their winter fuel allowance, there are many much poorer pensioners who wouldn't jump through means-testing hoops and who really do need the WFA.

WooWooOwl · 13/04/2014 22:57

I agree universal benefits are a good thing.
