To wonder if anyone slept properly last night

I had a horrendous night last night, virtually no sleep at all. Everyone I have spoken to today says the same, is there something in the air? Other than the Saharan dust?

Awoke at 4am and just snoozed until I got up at 6am. Felt hot and restless.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 03/04/2014 20:24

No I had a terrible nights sleep. My throat and chest hurt and I kept waking up because of that and then when I finally got off to sleep I was woken up by foxes making the most horrendous noises outside my house. It was so loud it sounded like they were in the house!

BeyondIsBloodOfTheDragon · 03/04/2014 21:10

Also in the 'news', animals are fleeing yellowstone, possibly meaning imminent eruption. Perhaps you could sense vibrations or some such?

magoria · 03/04/2014 21:15

Well I decided to do some grouting yesterday evening. Was still cleaning it down and then had to shower before bed at 1am (neighbours must hate me).

After that I was out like a light.

My nose and eyes are not quite right now though.

LineRunner · 03/04/2014 21:32

If Yellowstone blows, it's game over, isn't it?

BeyondIsBloodOfTheDragon · 03/04/2014 21:37

Yup, and quite quickly too for america. Bit more slowly for us though

BeyondIsBloodOfTheDragon · 03/04/2014 21:39

Daily mail reported a few days ago (so google tells me, I've not been on there) that yellowstone is possibly dying down and becoming inactive. So based on how much truth there normally is in their articles... Ka boom!

SpoonfulOfJam · 03/04/2014 21:43

Yep, LO was awake from 1 till 3. Not crying, just awake and keeping me awke.

FullOfChoc · 03/04/2014 21:45

I was awake at 2.30am and only got a few naps after 5 am.

Have felt dreadful all day.

WowserBowser · 03/04/2014 21:49

Is it the clocks changing?

Ds is normally an ace sleeper but has woken in the night this week.

newsecretidentity · 03/04/2014 22:32

For me it's mostly the cough that's keeping me up at night. I wish this would go!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/04/2014 22:47

I slept like a log!

PinkLemons · 03/04/2014 22:49

I slept bad but that is because I am in the Middle East and there was a massive and noisy sandstorm!

HeyNonny · 03/04/2014 22:55

The last four nights have been terrible. I've been napping for 25-40 mins at a time. Foxes yowling here too for TWO HOURS - and ignored banging on windows. Normally they're around for 15 mins before moving on and they always flee if I bang on the window. The DC have had really unsettled nights too - and friends are saying the same about theirs. Weird.

HauntedNoddyCar · 03/04/2014 22:56

Slept beautifully until 5 when a tickle in my throat woke me up. Awake for an hour before getting back to sleep. Fortunately DH was working from home so I could lie in til 8.

Chattymummyhere · 03/04/2014 22:57

We all slept great however all woke up with horrible coughs and sickness.

softlysoftly · 03/04/2014 22:59

Not well and the night before DD2 wouldn't sleep and DD1 wet the bed. She has never wet the bed, not even when potty training, ever!

Not that that proves your insane theory Grin

ArtFine · 03/04/2014 23:00

Nope, hardly slept. Looks like I'm not the only one though.

Salmotrutta · 03/04/2014 23:06

It's the bloody Dawn Chorus innit!

"Tweet-Bloody-Tweet" from about 3.30am onwards - it's not even dawn then. Angry

MrsCosmopilite · 03/04/2014 23:07

Had a dreadful night. DD has chicken pox. She woke up at about 12.30am, just after I'd fallen asleep. Then she dozed off 'til around 5 when she wanted to get up for a wee. She went back to sleep 'til around 6am. I've been awake since 5.

Tonight looks to be much the same as she got up half an hour ago because she was so hot and itchy she got very upset.

ThePearShapedToad · 03/04/2014 23:07

Nope, I didn't either. And been feeling shattered all day, and now it's bedtime and wide awake still

Who wants a sleepover?? Good old fashioned "sweet valley high" style?

I have popcorn and can put everyone's hair into plaited pigtails

BagOfBags · 03/04/2014 23:10

Oooh. That's interesting. I haven ' tread any more than the op but nearly 3 year old DS, was awake 1/2 the night.

ErrolTheDragon · 03/04/2014 23:11

I slept fine - north and west of the pollution band; the birds were waking me at 5am last week but the clock change has made them much more civilized.

AdoraBell · 03/04/2014 23:16

For me it was the earthquakes here in Chile and why haven't they affected the area I'm in when the 2010 one affected the entire country.

Kind of a "what is up to?" feeling, like I don't trust someone devious not to be viscous. I know it's the way the plates are moving and I'm waiting for it to change just slightly, just enough to get us too. It's nuts I know, but it's keeping me awake.

Salmotrutta · 03/04/2014 23:17

Scottish birds are so not civilised.

Tweeting little bastards.
