Well everyone really. On account there is not actually one hive mind and opinion,

And what you really mean when you say this is I only ever notice people who do not agree with my way of the world. So I blame a website.

How is this thread anything to do with cliques?

Aldi and Lidl are crap. so is Bowden. so is,in my humble opinion,Baby wearing and attachment parenting beads, school uniform and buying dresses for 7 year old boys.

certainly don't expect agreement on those.

don't we all post our opinions? what the fuck is the point if we all agree with each other.

HoneyDragon · 28/03/2014 20:30

As I said, I struggled to explain what I meant earlier, but it just think its a stupid way to shut down a debate. It is vexing me lately.

I don't like being homogenised I'm not lactose dude.

I don't deny that, but that's trying to be nice or ironic like Gregg's and Fruitshoots.

It's opened my eyes to things like not letting a tradesman use your toilet. (How unreasonable IMO) and other things too.

It's entertaining to think that some people pretend they really are like this in real life !

That's the worrying thing, they really are.

The debates are subjects I can relate to, so watching that play through and sometimes contribute is, sometimes entertaining.

Some threads are useful and some I'm glad to have helped or at least given my experience of the subject matter.

southeastastra · 28/03/2014 20:43

i would never call the gas man a 'trademan'

Aldi and lidl are shit.

I only get one meal out of a chicken

I couldn't give a fuck who parks where

I spend more than £1.89 to feed a family of 5 and put my hearing on when I am cold

I drive a big fuck off 4x4 and I like it

My ds1 has the number 1 most hated name ever.

So I suspect I am not "the whole of mumsnet" judging by some of the threads I read Grin

HoneyDragon · 28/03/2014 21:00

I certainly wouldn't, my British Gas a Engineer is a woman Grin

I've never tried to shut down a debate. But I have said 'only on MN' many times, because so many of the arguments on here simply don't exist in any of the vast array of RL I have witnessed.

Anyway, isn't it the argument itself that's only a MN thing? Not one opinion or another. We all have opinions. But only on MN do we see people getting into bitter conflict about some of them.

MoonlightandRoses · 28/03/2014 21:51

and there was me thinking the rest of the post would be "...a poem as lovely as a tree".

I was quite looking forward to reading various random poems.

Ho hum Sad

thebody · 28/03/2014 22:16

tradesman Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 28/03/2014 22:36

OP... What you mean when one says "I only see this on Mumsnet... " and it means "You are lying your ass off... ".

There are many, many instances of this and - even though I don't truly understand your first or subsequent posts, you are NOT being unreasonable. Grin

caruthers · 28/03/2014 23:53

Some of the threads and opinions are about absolutely nothing I recognise in RL at all, so I can see where the "Only on Mumsnet" remarks come from.
