ThatBloodyWoman · 22/03/2014 23:43

And I'm also glad I'm not the only one who doesn't spend an inordinate amount of time fretting about her fanny.

It's just there. Like my elbow or my navel.

NurseyWursey · 22/03/2014 23:46

For some women it's like discussing how you wash your hair. Talking about genitals doesn't have to be something taboo or TMI.

I suppose it just depends what you're like as a person. Me and my friends have lengthy discussions about poo (we're nurses)

andsmile · 22/03/2014 23:47

Have you seen the washing thread nursey?

OP posts:
NurseyWursey · 22/03/2014 23:47

Yes, in fact I've commented on it :)

JakeAndTheNeverlandFuckwits · 22/03/2014 23:51

Radar only kicked in when asked what do you're children call their bits.

FFS.

Thanks.

andsmile I agree with you on that one.

jolenjolene · 23/03/2014 00:26

I am the op of the "washing thread" and find it hilarious that you all are missing the irony of a whole thread of hoiking your bosoms at other people talking about their genitals because you're so very grown up.

I asked the question because another thread made me think of it and because it's not the kind of thing you ask your friends at dinner. And a few people were interested enough to reply. And obviously a few of you were too grown up to reply so had to start your own thread about that. Okey doke. Different strokes, eh.

Oh and I'm now up feeding my baby and it's very dark but I'm pretty sure my hands are not hairy.

Cathycat · 23/03/2014 00:26

Or the person who started them could dodgy?

caramelwaffle · 23/03/2014 00:34

Yadnbu.

NurseyWursey · 23/03/2014 00:35

andsmile · 23/03/2014 01:02

jolenjolene well I hope you feel better about justifying your thread whilst having a dig at this one.

There is a lot of it at the moment. I don't think it's not 'adult' - heck, due to health issues mine has been a major life focus for years - but it's not something I'd want to discuss incessantly. This morning I saw two threads on washing, another on waxing, another on pre sex washing, two on naming.. Why not have a 'fanjo' topic? (Joke)

It is a bit much though.

shouldnthavesaid · 23/03/2014 01:11

When I did voluntary work on a forum aimed at 13-20 year olds we had constant questions about wanking. As in, by the hour. What do you do, when do you do, how often do you do, what do you use, can I buy, have you been caught, can Muslims do it, can you hurt yourself. Answering those questions (as was encouraged of us) got very tedious. It could be much worse Grin

andsmile · 23/03/2014 01:14

Like I said its not the content it was the no. of threads in one day that made me stop and think. but I can see some people dont see the need to chat about down there.

OP posts:
ThatBloodyWoman · 23/03/2014 01:20

I can't say I've been on the washing thread.

Surely we all clean our teeth before we go to the dentist if possible, yet we don't discuss that on mn!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 23/03/2014 04:54

If only that were true. (I'm a dentist)

Who wants to start a thread about ball sacks then?

Daddypigsgusset · 23/03/2014 05:05

Definitely something fishy going on

ManifestoMT · 23/03/2014 07:42

Oi oi daddy gusset

I saw that

Step away from the thread

CuntyBunty · 23/03/2014 07:56

I haven't seen the fanny threads. Lots of people are behaving like they have been forced to look at them. Maybe I'm not that arsed because I haven't seen them. If you don't like it, Hide the Thread. That's what I do with all the X-Factor/The Voice/soap opera threads.

Most people on here are in possession of a vagina and vulva. Why can't they talk about it? If I needed to ask a question about mine, then I would and I wouldn't care one jot that about the potential that some weirdo could be having a wank over it. So what. I wouldn't know and I wouldn't want to know.

I don't want women whispering about "down there" and periods like my mother did Hmm. It took me much longer than the age of 13 to be comfortable with my genitals, so for all those who are comfortable and cool about it, good for you. Those that aren't maybe should be allowed to talk about it in the hope that they may become more comfortable with themselves. If you don't like it, hide the fucking thread and stop being so scathing to others who aren't so "cunt positive".

shakethetree · 23/03/2014 08:07

I agree - I'm always a bit Hmm when a poster asks what you call your dc's private bits, why would anyone want to know that?

ThatBloodyWoman · 23/03/2014 09:22

NoArmani.

Eewww.

And Eewww again.
