to sneak DTs into hotel room?

Posting for traffic really.

We have 3DC, DS (4yo) and DTs (22m). We need an overnight stop on the way to our holiday. planning to stay with a chain hotel and I know the room is big enough to fit 2 travel cots in. the hotel however have a strict 2 adults 2 kids policy.

has anyone done the sneaking the extra child in method to avoid having to pay for 2 rooms? it just seems mad to pay for an extra room when there is space in one room for us.

any thoughts?

Used to have a T25, had to get rid of it when the children got bigger because we didn't all fit in it

Did love it though

Very jealous Rufus. One of these days DH will buy one and head off into the sunset (might send the kids the odd postcard, might not...)

My mates hired a swanky VW for a weekend to Cornwall- ala 'Johnnie Boden catalogue style' .

It broke down so many times on the way they only got as far as Bristol.
Gotta laugh at the stupidity of rich folk .

sir best bits were sat in it of a summers evening, little lights on in the van, glass of wine in hand, jealous people walking past asking to have a look inside

Would deffo consider another one when the children are grown and have lives of their own

I wouldn't do it, but I'm a rules-follower.

Try www.airbnb.com.

mummymeister so when there is a hotel fire, do the insurance get shirty about demanding proof that there were only the correct no of guests in each room? Or do they accept that it was all ok unless there is some blatant evidence that extra people were there? Just curious now. If you have to prove that there were no extra guests on the premises, I can't see how any hotel insurance would ever pay out, because surely there would always be someone who wasn't supposed to be there.

Walton Grin Have you heard the Middle Class festival goers song by Adam Buxton? Always makes me laugh.

Going to look it up now !
I was looking at Bestival with me old mate Jamie Oliver and the blur guy ( Blur guy really quite tasty but forget his name).
I nearly died at the price - £500 for me and the kids .
I just want the budget version - a field with a folk band and a hippy lentil burger tent .

That is not sad Rufus - it is the only proper thing to do if you have a T25 sitting on your driveway! Grin

Queen - could you try to negotiate a discount on the two rooms?

Everythingcounts. when there is a fire the investigators ask for a list of who was in the premises at the time. they then ask you for a statement as in what time were you back in your room by. did you see anyone hanging around etc. especially if they think arson was involved. this is why it does sometimes take a long while to investigate by insurance companies. you will then be asked how many in your room. as a statement sometimes or sometimes more formal. if the insurance get replies saying it was a room for 4 and there were 5,6,7 or whatever of us in it then they will clearly look at this as poor management. as a self employed person my pli states that I must comply with all legislative requirements or my insurance will be deemed to be invalidated.
