To think that being a mum is the best job in the world?

I think I'm becoming a bit of a baby bore amongst my friends so thought I'd come here instead! My pfb DD is 18 weeks old and sometimes I feel overwhelmed by how much I love her. We were trying for a baby for over 8 years and had almost given up hope when this time last year I got a very surprising bfp. Since that day, I feel like a black cloud has been lifted from my life and I don't think I've ever been this happy. I love every aspect of being a mum, even the difficult bits and I can't imagine loving anything more than my beautiful baby!

She has been especially cute today and just needed to share this with someone! Sorry to be a baby bore!

YANBU. Our pfb is 10m, and when asked I frequently tell people that motherhood is the hardest and best thing I've ever done. Enjoy your lo!

YANBU

DS was an IVF baby too and I felt like I was the luckiest woman in the world throught the pregnancy. Couldn't believe it when I got to bring my very own baby home from the hospital.

Over a year later, SAHM, and still feel the same way as you do. The toddler tantrums, the mess- I don't care. I am in love with him and feel so lucky to be his mum.

Long may this feeling last for you too x

FeelingSoLucky I can feel your happiness all the way from New Zealand and you've made my day just by sharing it. I am so happy for you and your gorgeous family, long may it last! I am a student midwife and it does make me teary to see mums enjoying their newborn so much. Give her a cuddle from me too!
