To NOT want to tell people our 2month old pfb sleeps through the night (and has done since 3 days old)?

I just think there's no way you can win with this. You look smug no matter what, and other parents will just hate us.

I KNOW it's just sheer luck and not any amazing thing we've done.

I think we should just lie about it.

You're right, sunny, having a non-sleeper must be so much more awful than a non-eater.

Quite honestly, having had a good sleeper has vaguely put me off having another DC yet - in the sense that I still feel knackered even without being up four times a night, so god knows how I'd cope with less sleep!

my DD slept throught the night since 3 weeks old, now at nearly 7, she a little shite to get to sleep, although when she is asleep, she sleeps well.

I wouldn't volunteer the situation, but if asked I wouldn't lie either. Why on earth should you? It's the truth and no matter how jealous people are, there's no way I would lie or make excuses just to please them.

Neither of mine slept through the night until well over 2 btw, so I don't have personal experience. I would be envious, but I certainly wouldn't make you feel bad about it.

Just acknowledge it and say so far so good. I say that as someone who's DS slept through from birth til around 4 months and has only just starting sleeping through now (9-5am).
You can get almost reverse competitive with babies- who has the worst sleepless nights etc- as they get older it is seen as bad parenting if they don't sleep by mothers with sleepers- and you get less sympathy for being tired-
