Decaf tea?

anybody drink this? how different is it to regular tea?

im off caffeine for lent and have gone a total of 1 days before craving a cup of tea!

whats the best brand of decaff tea?

Clipper do a nice decaf 'normal' tea

Been drinking some coop fairtrade decaff tea on Doctors orders and it's ok. I can enjoy the ritual of a cup of tea and tell myself the taste difference is because I bought cheapie bags by mistake. Might try eat gray decaff like a prev poster said.

I do. Started when pregnant and not given it up because tastes the same to me. I'll drink caff if given it at someone's house, at work etc, but at home or when I have the choice. I have decaf. I like sainsburys red label, and have had the earl grey too, which is good. But tbh, they all taste fine to me.

There is a long thread in pregnancy right now about decaf tea. Probably worth a look.

Personally decaf earl grey is all I can drink, other decaf teas have a very particular and unpleasant taste.

It tastes exactly the same as caffeinated. However it still has a tiny bit of caffeine in it. Totally caffeine free tea will have 'caffeine free' on the packet rather than decaffinated.

I'm intolerant to caffeine so if I have black tea I ask for decaff and never have any problems with it so it must be a very small amount.

Decaf Yorkshire Tea - fab!

Tetley decaf tastes "normal" too. Amazingly so does the aldi own brand version.

I disagree, I don't think any of tetley, pg tips or twinings everyday decaf taste 'normal' at all. I really can't stand them.

Earl grey decaf or nothing here.

Decaf coffee however I can't tell the difference!!

I second decaf Yorkshire tea. Nicer than the normal stuff! I'm drinking it as pregnant but if it wasn't a tad more expensive I'd drink it normally too

Ive gone off tea but used to like Tetley's decaff, also Red Bush is nice. If drinking decaff make sure its been 'naturally decaffinated' as if not naturally done, all sorts of horrible chemicals will have been used to extract the caffeine

Clipper is fab.

However some brands use a horrid way of making the tea decaf.

We use Taylor's of Harrogate for coffee and clipper for tea as a result

I like it, m and s is the best. However have you read up on the decaffination process? It's put me off!

I'm really sensitive to caffeine so drink de-caff. IMO none of them are as flavourful as proper tea. I found recently Aldi do a reasonable one. Before that I tried Clipper (as recommended by someone on here) and found it dreadful. At the moment I'm drinking red bush again, which I seem to be able to drink black which is useful as I'm trying to cut back on dairy. I reckon you will have to try many types to find the one you like best.

The PG tips one is excellent. I started when pregnant and still drink it now. I can't taste the difference.
