Waitmonkey you can do it on the App. If you go to customise you can set it up from there.

The bookmark function is for if you are reading through a thread you can bookmark your place so if you come back to it it will have saved your place without having to wade through the whole thread again.

If you hover at the bottom right of the last post you read, a little blue box appears and says bookmark, click on it and it saves your place.

You need to set it up under the customise options first.

I was only thinking the other day how annoying it is to hunt for the OP's updates when reading a long thread.

Can you bookmark on an iPhone?

You can bookmark on an iPad/iPhone. Just tap to the bottom right of the post and it says 'bookmark' tap again to make it show as 'saved'

^^ you need to be on 'MumsnetNew' in order to have the bookmark option.

That's brill have been getting annoyed at trying to find my place in a thread where if already read up too, it can be done on an iPhone because I've just done it, went to customise and clicked the bookmark option, I'll be using t lots now! And great to be able to have the op in a diff colour to see easier!
The one thing I don't know is how do you tag a poster in your comment? When mentioning someone's name and it comes up bold so they can see it easier, don't know how to do this yet, names just come up normal if I type them in a post

You must be able to do it on the app. Although I can't promise. But how about logging in on a laptop once to customize your settings, save them, then those changes should be reflected on the app or wherever you log in I hope
