The up tenth message from the same person on facebook. Followed by a rant that miserable single people shouldn't ruin it for loved up couples as it's not their day to ruin. It's not commercialism but a day for real loveeeeeeeeee.

I feel I can slightly breath now I have logged in to Mumsnet. haha

Breathe. IME it's the relationships like these that don't last the course. Having to proclaim your luurve like that is never a good sign.

The fb "friends" who posted this kind of sugary grossness are the same ones who post endless statuses about their "lil man" or "prinny". So much sugar I can feel myself sliding into a diabetic coma.....

DH, DD and I all have chest infections, and cannot afford more cough mix as the jobcentre or whoever seems to have fucked up our benefits and we have received £81 this month, rather than £250ish. We did homemade cards and are mainly bickering.

Didn't even get sex. Too ill and pissed off. And I don't want phlegm on me.

I was glad to be single yesterday. My ex is a woman hater. I'm hiding from him and I spent the day enjoying myself doing what I wanted to do. Freedom was the best Valentines present to myself.

DH bought me a pair of goats.

I like to see that my friends are having a nice valentines day.

I posted a picture of my goats.

I love the comedy value of Facebook on valentines day. The statuses from those loving their man so much, those being the luckiest girl alive, to those who think they are so hilair with their unwitty statuses about how cheesy the day is.

However, I was surprised that DH picked me up some roses when he nipped to the shop in the morning on Friday - first time he's got me flowers since the first valentines after we met (which was the week before it), almost 10 years ago. And guess what - the first thing I did was make breakfast, not post photos all over Facebook about how much of a lucky girl I am

But I do luv me gawjus man Grin

It continues on my FB thread, with those who couldn't celebrate on Friday filling us all in on last night's shenanigans. My 23 yo cousin has posted a series of selfies of her and a man she is 'just good friends with' (she's just left a lovely boyfriend four days after renting a flat with him)...including one taken this morning clearly in the aftermath.
