The up tenth message from the same person on facebook. Followed by a rant that miserable single people shouldn't ruin it for loved up couples as it's not their day to ruin. It's not commercialism but a day for real loveeeeeeeeee.

I can't stand it either and have no idea why i haven't deleted her yet. She is always posting stupid and incoherent shit. I don't know where the hell they get it from. I could almost forgive her if she was really young but she is in her 30s.

Just for the record, I keep meaning to have a grand clear out. There is some pile of crap floating about on my feed at the moment.

I had a horror film. We ate bacon butties and drank red wine whilst we watched aforesaid film last night ... as DH is working till half seven tonight. That's the extent of our romance. Nb: I bloody love horror films.

DHs birthday today. My soon-to-be x friend left him a birthday message in a very sexy, I'm yours voice......
She has in the past, made it clear to me that she wouldn't kiss my DH as he is too like a brother to her - todays message was the icing on his birthday cake

Well, my lovely gorgeous man woke me up this morning by jumping on me because he loves, adores and worships me.....

....and he wanted me to get up and let him out onto the garden for a pee

I feel a more inappropriate title here would be "me man fills a hole in me" - considering the sheer amount of shagging that is bound to be happening tonight.

But on a serious note, ghostinthecanvas I would more than likely knock out a so called friend had they left a message like that for DH - unless it was one of his mates taking the piss.

When I looked at fb about an hour ago there still wasn't a single mention of Valentines Day from anyone of my friends!

I'm not counting my chickens though as I still think there is a chance a work colleague may post something when she gets back from work. She seems to turn into a soppy, sentimental type after 8pm ( 'feeling blessed, love my boys', 'my hubby is my soul mate, love him soooo much' 'click LIKE if your man is your best friend and you'll love him forevva' etc)

My FB feed is full of photos of lunches and flowers and frankly rather nice presents. There are at least three 'ooh luv u hun' ickies but mostly they look rather nice. As for me? Well..Me man is off on a jolly with his Mam. I am off to order from the posh Indian delivery place and am not keeping him any. Ha. There's romance for you.

Those of you that we're given chocolates you don't want, your local food bank could find them a good home!

I'm hoping for some red Lindor chocs (unsubtle hints have been made) when dh gets in from work. Flowers would be nice but I told him not to bother with roses as they cost loads and die really quickly! We shall see! Think he only twigged yesterday it was Valentines Day today. He's getting a nice box of Maltesers which DD and I plan to help him eat...

In 33 years together we have never bothered with Valentine's Day in any form. I don't think I've ever had a Valentine's card. Thank God I'm not on Facebook.

Most of it washes over me. The thinly disguised references to 'toys' for later use between one couple? Way tmi.

He got me chocs and a card. Only because they had no completely useless and dust gathering teddies left. Thank fuck.

I got him nothing. We are supposed to be getting married in August but tbh I just want him to fuck off.

I've been lucky so far. However I have one very dear friend who gets a bit like this over everything - birthdays, Christmas, baby birth, baby's first fart etc who is married to the worlds most unromantic man. He really does worship the ground she walks on but is totally incapable of showing it publicly. At their wedding he almost died of embarrassment making his vows in front of around 200 guests...
So I predict that later tonight there will be either "look at what my man got mee! Luv U soooo much" or "I hate him" complete with comments of "U 2 Gud 4 him Hun".
My breath is pretty much bated!

My newsfeed is full of pictures of flowers, cards, hampers etc etc....

One year for valentines when i was pg with ds1 exp got me a 48 egg bulk box of creme eggs. Best valentines ever and did actually temporarily make up for the fact he was almost 2 hours late picking me up.
