to expect a graphic designer to be able to read their design to see if it's grammatically correct?

So someone is designing an email for me.
He's sent me a few proof copies - I've sent them back and he's modified them.

He seems incapable of actually reading it to see if it makes sense. The 3rd one is going back as there's an obvious spelling error on it.

He's a designer in a company I am using for some marketing.

Seems like they're not as good as advice for marketing as they claim to be. They should know what is effective if they have been doing marketing for ages and claim to be a marketing company. I want my email to be opened and they should know what works and what fails.

The 2 contacts I have do not seem to be very good at the marketing side.

As an aside visual and linguistic skills are completely different (& some would say at odds with each other). Not surprising that one person will be stronger in one area than another.

Shame they promised more than they can deliver.

As an aside on the backside of an aside, there is some evidence that designers have a higher rate of dyslexia than other professions. Makes sense when you think about it.
