to just not get How I Met Your Mother?

I've only seen 3 or 4 episodes so hardly an avid viewer but I really don't get it. I find it so unfunny that I'm not convinced it's not a parody of a comedy show. Like, painfully unfunny. As far as I can see, there's not a single laugh in it. I watch the Big Bang Theory at every opportunity and laugh my head off, then HIMYM comes on and it's..........oh. Channel change time.

What do you enjoy about it?

I just find it fantastic that in real life 'Barney' is gay! Also every role I have seen him in he has been a serial womaniser.

I think it's run it's course.

The earlier series were better. The programme has run a bit too long for the How I Met Your Mother theme, iyswim. It should have ended a couple of series ago, IMO.

Ted started to look a bit like a desperate saddo really.

I do like it though.

It is the biggest load of unfunny shit that I've had the misfortune of seeing for a long time. Not one funny line, pure trunks.

I thought the end of rules of engagement was a bit crap - Russell and Timmy get married, Adam and Jen have this rushed wedding in the hospital after years of planning it, and Audrey gets pregnant the day her baby is born. Felt all very rushed.

I only have liked a few episodes, it seems to come on and I watch it thinking urgh I need to turn over but then can't be bothered and carry on sitting and staring. I like barny and robin together.
