to just not get How I Met Your Mother?

I've only seen 3 or 4 episodes so hardly an avid viewer but I really don't get it. I find it so unfunny that I'm not convinced it's not a parody of a comedy show. Like, painfully unfunny. As far as I can see, there's not a single laugh in it. I watch the Big Bang Theory at every opportunity and laugh my head off, then HIMYM comes on and it's..........oh. Channel change time.

What do you enjoy about it?

YANBU it is utter drivel.

2.5 men on the other hand I can watch. I do have a sick crush on Charlie Sheen though.

I used to love it - but the final series is so terribly painful its like watching a train wreck. My DH makes fun of me and tells me to turn it off and stop watching it - but I can't I feel that I have committed all this time to it and I need to see it through, how pathetic am I.

The last episode How your mother met me was good.

Marshall is an exact replica of my brother in appearance, occupation and personality. This has somewhat ruined the show for me.

I like it but the final season is such a let down itscv disappointing. The early seasons were fab though

I don't get the whole premise of the show. So he's telling his kids about their mother except its hours of stories about every other woman he's slept with, with the underlying theme of how much he's in love with Robin, whose with Barney at the end. So his best mate's wife.

Bernadette is a microbiologist who earns more than her husband. Amy is a neuro scientist and an intellectual equal to Sheldon. Penny has more emotional intelligence than everyone else.

The writers announced a main cast member will die at the end. I wonder who it could be.

I think it's going to be Barney. We hear what Robyn, Lily and Marshall do in the future but (AFAIR) there hasn't been any mention of Barney.

Barney is my favourite character though.

I hope Barney dies of knob rot.
