goodnessknows has a scary operation tomorrow, to remove a tumour on her spine. She is feeling a bit panicky, so I thought she might like your supportive messages to encourage her. Here is a link to her thread goodnessknows

If it's any help I had a tumour removed for the base of my spine 22 yrs ago aged 16.

I took up running last year Grin.

Best of luck, lovely, hope it has all gone as well as possible and you are having a good sleep now.

GoodnessKnows · 29/01/2014 03:52

Gossip, that's fantastic. So encouraging to hear although if I the up running, I'll know that they must've operated on my brain. Lol
I'd love to dry slope ski though.
I'm in a high dependency unit.
I'm ok
I'm on plenty of drugs and morphine
Countless tubes etc
But I can still text.
Lol
Hope you're ok?
I so appreciate your messages. Xxx

I've only just found your original thread, Goodness.
I wish we could award you with a MN medal. You deserve it!
Thinking of you and hoping you come out of all this tumour free and pain free. Xx

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 29/01/2014 08:28

There you are! Good morning and it's lovely to hear from you.

The tubes will get less, and the pain will ease. Soon you'll be able to be up and about gently. Listen to the physio's - they're your friends.

Xxxx

livelablove · 29/01/2014 09:01

Glad to hear you're back with the world Goodnessknows, I hope the operation was a success. Here's to a bright future!

GoodnessKnows · 31/01/2014 22:56

Thank you everyone ;)
Now waiting for the results. Nurse came and gave me sone quite worrying forecasts. Basically, they think it's probably a very (VERY) rare tumour that is benign... but acts like cancer. So, high like,uh kid of it growing back and perhaps aggressively so if this happens (they seem to get angry of taken away, apparently!!!). Only way to treat them then is as you would aggressive cancer - chemo, drugs, radiotherapy. Shit!
Will know what it is , hopefully, at beginning of next week.
Sad

RudolphtheRedknowsraindear · 31/01/2014 23:12

I hope all goes well for you & your results Thanks

PedlarsSpanner · 01/02/2014 00:10
