It's a long running joke that really isn't funny anymore. and never was

To me it's as annoying as the phrase "did you mean to sound so rude?"

Finally "yoni" seems to have gone forever but this is lingering.

Note to anyone who uses it - it's not funny and it's certainly not original.

And you really need to find something else to pass the time. You are obviously full of a lot of anger and it's kind of pathetic to take that rage out on strangers online. Maybe you need to talk to someone irl?

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 00:49

when your name referred to not smiling too

What? How does it?

Just hold the smile, it's in reference to when everything in your life is falling to shit but you keep up a pretense that you're happy and just hold the smile.

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 00:51

You're reply to Randy implied that you intended it to be lighthearted.

And yes, bitchy and bossy :)

FloweryFeatureWall · 27/01/2014 00:52

Justholdthesmile. People whinge about Kristen not smiling. You moaned about that. Your name refers to smiling or not smiling (whoops!). Calm down! I gather this is your outlet for the rage that is hidden behind your smile, yes?

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 00:52

Your not you're

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 00:52

You are obviously full of a lot of anger and it's kind of pathetic to take that rage out on strangers online

Pot? Kettle?

I am not in the least bit angry. A thread was started today about phrases people hate. So to hate a phrase that means you must be full of anger?

I'm just not a push over. If people are going to give bitchy replies then I'm not going to just sit there and be called a bitch and a twat.

OP posts:
FloweryFeatureWall · 27/01/2014 00:55

I've got no anger Grin I posted a jokey comment about it not being very naice and you went on a nice little rant about blah blah blah. You are defo being a bit of a twat though.

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 00:55

I have no rage in me.

If you get your kicks from trying to get a reaction from people then keep trying because you won't get a rise from me Smile

I've already explained what my username meant. Everyone has pain/bad things going on in their life and will still "hold a smile". It's nothing to do with me or anyone having pent up rage.

Like I said I have no rage or fucks to give.

OP posts:
Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 00:56

But you are obviously very angry in the way you are reacting.

I am sorry that you are ill and wish you a speedy recovery (as speedy as it can be with depression) but this cant be helping.

jayho · 27/01/2014 00:56

cba to read shouty thread but my little sis gave dbil a verbal shopping list today that ended with 'and some nice ham for lunches' she's not a mumsnetter and I've been smiling inside all afternoon.... Small pleasures

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 00:58

I'm not angry. I'm not an angry person in the slightest.

I'm not perfect but I'm definitely not someone who holds onto rage. I wish I hadn't brought depression up on this thread because it will get used against me now.

Thank you for your well wishes. And please when I say I'm not angry I genuinely mean it, it was just a random aibu thread about not liking a word.

If I was genuinely angry about something like that then I would be worried for my mental health.

OP posts:
FloweryFeatureWall · 27/01/2014 00:59

Hmm, well I would count jumping on someone who merely remembered your username (like many people remember many others) from a thread and calling them creepy and pathetic, quite ragey and angry. A calmer person might have used logic and realised it's quite normal to remember threads or users on here.

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 01:01

I posted a jokey comment about it not being very naice and you went on a nice little rant about blah blah blah. You are defo being a bit of a twat though.

I commented that expressing a non offensive opinion doesn't make someone "not very nice".

And I don't need to use foul language to express a point or opinion - so call me a twat all you want. Just know that doing so makes you appear immature and uneducated, which is most likely true but that's never a good thing to advertise.

Pot. Kettle. Grin

I'm sure using the foul word "fuck" to express the point of how little you care doesn't count though? Oh, fuck is foul language too? Guess we can be immature and uneducated together then. :)

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 01:06

calling them creepy and pathetic, quite ragey and angry.

Well if it happened as you describe then ok I'll take back the creepy.

But I stand by the pathetic comment. Bringing up a users previous threads especially when they have no relevance to the current thread is pathetic and I still have no idea what you were trying to achieve by doing this.

I'm also pretty sure it's against forum rules to do that.

Monty27 · 27/01/2014 01:12

I know 'naice' and I think its funny. But what's YONI? Confused

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 01:13

Its not against the rules. I found that out when someone made a point of using a past issue I had against me getting propositioned by a dirty old man. I was told that as my husband had cheated on me, the man will have assumed I had an open marriage and MNHQ wouldnt delete!

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 01:13

Yoni = Fanny/foof/fairy/VAGINA

Roshbegosh · 27/01/2014 01:16

I find it irritating and stupid too OP. Not at all funny.

Justholdthesmile · 27/01/2014 01:21

Didn't know that Bogey. Could have sworn it was a rule - I think it should be especially in your situation.

Sorry to hear about it too.

Thanks Rosh at least I'm not the only one Wink

OP posts:
Monty27 · 27/01/2014 01:29

Ewww! @ YONI

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 01:37

I thought it was a rule too, turns out to be MN etiquette but not a rule, who knew?!

Bogeyface · 27/01/2014 01:37

I have to admit that I dont like Yoni, but Naice Ham makes me smile!

Monty27 · 27/01/2014 01:39

Quite Bogey Wink
