Chicken thighs in tarragon and cream sauce, roasted veg (what was left in the vegie drawer - leeks, peppers, carrots, a sad looking courgette), quinoa.

Minione · 14/01/2014 20:06

We had anchovy spaghetti - our quick, turn to dinner! I'm another one who has been trying to low carb - not much luck so far!

WeAreSix · 14/01/2014 20:09

Slow cooker fish chowder

it was gross and the DCs filled up on rice pud

TheVeryBusySpider · 14/01/2014 20:32

Bake at home Gregg's pasty from Iceland Grin

In my defence I did make home made lasagne for DH and the DCs , and am far too shattered to cook anything else from scratch.

wyldchyld · 14/01/2014 20:34

Homemade southern fried pork pieces with what is my extremely cheap version of a poor man's risotto. Although I might eat the poor man's risotto and ignore the pork pieces. Both good but I'm craving the risotto stuff...

Basically chuck a load of smartprice mixed veg in a roasting tray, add water, garlic and some stuck cubes, bake it whilst boiling white rice, drain the rice and lob it in til it sucks up the juice. Cheese optional!

1974rach · 14/01/2014 20:45

chilli con carne and jacket potatoes.

Got tons of chilli left over if anyone wants to come round for a bowl full Grin

catgirl1976 · 14/01/2014 21:12

somewheresomehow · 14/01/2014 21:20

toad in the hole, roasted tatties carrots and peas

PickledMoomin · 14/01/2014 21:22

Homemade toast and marmite.

Kids ate with their dad.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 14/01/2014 21:45

I have now had a hamwidge and some soup Grin

TalcAndTurnips · 14/01/2014 21:51

I had some day-old prawn crackers followed by two scoops of Kelly's clotted cream ice cream.

That's my five-a-day taken care of.

Confused
irishe · 14/01/2014 22:03

Stuffed pasta with tomato sauce, washed down with a packet of smarties I found down the back of the sofa. Pretty sure that's the last chocolate from Christmas....pokes sofa hopefully

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 14/01/2014 22:07

Bacon, sausages and cauliflower cheese.

I'm liking panettone bread and butter pudding.

Berryglitter · 14/01/2014 23:18

We had chicken kiev, sundried tomato and chilli sauce, mash and roasted Mediterranean vegetables.

Berryglitter · 14/01/2014 23:20

May now be eating toast with the sundried tomato sauce on, damn cravings.

Lj8893 · 14/01/2014 23:39

Berryglitter, your dinner sounds amazing!!

Berryglitter · 14/01/2014 23:46

It was all very cheap, one stop chicken kievs (£1 for 2), Dolmio sauce (£1 for 2 pots), leftover mash and some frozen vegetables mixed in with the mash (so dc thinks it's exciting and eats it.). Sometimes one stop have some brilliant deals on, I always stock up on their chicken kievs as they're so yummy and cook well without leaking the filling.

Berryglitter · 14/01/2014 23:48

Dp and I had the Mediterranean veg tesco do, not mixed into our mash, we're almost grown up enough to eat it alone.

Lj8893 · 14/01/2014 23:49

Putting all those ingredients on my next shopping list!!

Berryglitter · 14/01/2014 23:58

Oh and their sausages are brilliant to, 2 packs of 6 for £4 and 4 different varieties. If you have one near you and time it just after the school run, that's when they've reduced stuff. I got a salad pack (half a cucumber, 2 tomatoes etc) for 50p today, it will last for tomorrow's lunch.

They may also have a deal on pringles which is why I went in.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 15/01/2014 00:00

It was a festering hideous Durum Kebab.

It was like nectar from the Gods.

Berryglitter · 15/01/2014 00:03

We had a delicious chicken shish kebab last night. It was heaven.

IneedAwittierNickname · 15/01/2014 00:05

We had pigs in blankets (reduced in co op after Christmas and frozen) chips and beans.

I'll do something healthy tomorrow!
