Sat in the staff room tucking into a kiwi, like you do, or rather like I do...chomping it like an apple. Everyone was horrified! Apparently you eat it with a spoon like a boiled egg... I can see why, the skin is minging but I alwa?s thought it was worth it for the delicious flesh. My family all eat it that way, never occurred to me there was anything odd about, I thought it was just the way it had to be done.

I'm really paranoid now there are other things I'm doing that are weird and disgusting. Please post your own experiences so I can tick them off the list.

OP posts:

I love golden delicious apple and walkers cheese and onion crisp sandwiches. I also like dairy milk and walkers cheese and onion crisps together. I can't eat cheese and onion crisps on their own though.

When I was little I liked homemade chips with sugar instead of salt and butter and sugar sandwiches.

JimmyChooChoo · 10/01/2014 17:58

Before I start reading a book/newspaper/magazine I have to flip through the whole thing - even reading the last few pages before I get stuck in.

I put salt in my soup.

After school run I come home to eat my breakfast and I will spend 30 mins watching CBeebies before I realise I'm actually watching C bloody beebies and I should be watching a bit of Lorraine or some Real Wishwives of boring county (which I love really)..

MardyBra · 10/01/2014 17:59

If I have short sleeves on, I've been known to keep a tissue under my bra strap.

wontletmesignin · 10/01/2014 18:02

The things bras can be used for haha
Wonderbra indeed

cerealqueen · 10/01/2014 18:31

I love raw black pudding, and often slice it straight from the fridge as a snack.

SagelyNodding · 10/01/2014 18:33

Apple or carrot with a chunk of strong cheddar cheese is amazing!

My Dsis eats melon rinds which is pretty gross in my book :)

I love a nice plate of chips with hot chocolate sauce on them!

Beatrixemerald · 10/01/2014 18:35

I love cold baked beans straight from the can with a fork, I get told thats gross

QueenOfGeeks · 10/01/2014 18:43

Pebble I hate savoury and sweet too.

Also YY to rhubarb and sugar, leftover curry for breaking (has yo be cold though) and eating a bit of everything in each mouthful.

Gosh looks like in quite wierd really!

AnyoneforTurps · 10/01/2014 18:45

I love raw pastry and will intentionally make too much so I can nibble the leftovers. I also eat all sorts of things from the packet/jar including Golden Syrup, sugar (finger dipped in it) muesli and most cereals. In fact, I'm eating dry Fruit & Fibre right now Smile.

Muffin1 · 10/01/2014 18:52

I run up the stairs on my hands and feet too
I love cold takeaway curry sandwiches for breakfast
If there's any leftover sausages from a BBQ, I wrap them in a dairylea cheese slice and eat it...yum!
Peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches
I love the smell of my dogs feet, smells a bit like popcorn!

SamHamwidge · 10/01/2014 18:57

I love raw mince.

It's good enough for the French in steak tartare so have stopped thinking I am such a freak.

BabyMummy29 · 10/01/2014 19:18

When I grew up dunking your biscuit in a drink was very bad-mannered.

Also I slice the top of a boiled egg rather than bashing it in. Can't understand why people do that - then you have to go to the bother of pf picking all the shell out of the egg.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 10/01/2014 19:27

Apricot jam and peanut butter sandwiches are heaven!

Anchovy spread and cheese sandwiches are also heaven!

Box of Smarties in a box of popcorn at the cinema is a delicious (and expensive) treat!

Biedronka · 10/01/2014 19:31

Of all the weirdness here I'm most Shock at how many of you read the end of a book first.
I just couldn't. I'm having a bit of a panic just trying to imagine :)

I love salted crisps drenched in vinegar, ketchup or salad cream.

I eat crisp, cheese and salad cream sandwiches but the flavour MUST be prawn cocktail or beef - no other tastes right.

I like slices of apple and pickles dipped in old english mustard.

strong cheese and grapes together are yummy.

Kiwifruits I usually peel and slice but sometimes will eat the fur if I know pesticides haven't been used.

I think my Dp is weird as he has no concept of my own rules savoury first- sweet last. E.g he'll eat a donut first then eat a burger or have a bar of chocolate then a packet of crisps.
It could well be that I'm the weird one here :)

DoYouNeedAWahhmbulance · 10/01/2014 19:39

I Wikipedia the plots and endings of movies and TV shows as I'm watching them

Sometimes if there is a really good twist and I've read about it twenty minutes before I see it I get a bit pissed off that I've missed out

And yet I still do it Hmm Grin

DoYouNeedAWahhmbulance · 10/01/2014 19:42

When I hit the top of a boiled egg I have to sing a little song...

"Good morning egg
I hope you're well
Now don't be shy
Come out of your shell"

And tap along to the beat of the song, I even make my DH and my teenagers do it Blush

SwimmingMom · 10/01/2014 19:53

I've never ever had a fizzy drink - pepsi/cola/sprite/champagne...the like. Can't stand the carbonated feeling going down my throat - so I've tried a single sip my entire life & never tried since.

Most of the time I get the ShockShock look!

LovelyMarchHare · 10/01/2014 19:57

I always have a cereal cocktail. Minimum of 3 varieties.

Parsnipcake · 10/01/2014 20:07

I eat raw potato in the way other people eat apples. I love the skin, particularly on Cyprus and Jersey royals. I am sort of addicted to them

MaryIngalls · 10/01/2014 20:08

I love cereal cocktail too...makes me feel a bit better for mixing healthy (eg rice krispies/ weetabix) and unhealthy ones (eg cheerios) together.

Others have been horrified by my eating cauliflower and cabbage raw, I actually prefer raw to cooked. Cauliflower I even peel and eat the stalk. DD has started doing this too. DH calls us goats!

Cheesyslice · 10/01/2014 20:11

I smear tomato purée onto raw carrots then eat them in front of the telly.

I don't own a toilet brush, I just bleach furiously.

dimdommilpot · 10/01/2014 20:13

OP i eat kiwi's like that. I always get something said to me or somebody pulling a face. All the good stuff is in the skin so its worth it.

AmIatwat · 10/01/2014 20:33

For brekkie, my 7 year old like toast ( polish bread) with a cut clove of garlic rubbed on , the smeared liberally with marge or butter. Sometimes she has instant mash with pesto and chopped chilli. Pity her classmates.

honeybeeridiculous · 10/01/2014 20:36
  • if I have an ice cream, I have to have a hot drink too
  • I always leave the tea bag in my tea to drink it
  • I like digestive biscuits with butter on
  • I kiss my cat
  • I dip dairy milk into my cup of tea
  • I have vinegar on cabbage and broccoli thought I was normal
DownstairsMixUp · 10/01/2014 20:44

Nope - I've been on the bra intervention thread on here, that's how I found out my size! I just push my phone right down so it's next to my armpit, it's a thin phone though. Couldn't fit keys down my bra though. I've put a vaseline tub down there before then forgot about it until I took bra off and it dropped on floor (and was all warm!) won't be doing that again!
